  1. but they are overpriced and quite frankly awfully made, expecially that front one! the mod ones are alright purely because the size of the wheels!
  2. wide rims don't really have any disadvantages really, the only problem is most are made of shite material!!
  3. don't worry you ain't seen the video footage of will
  4. if you read the site you would know that matt made none of the videos and yes none of the videos were great as we were to busy riding (and unfortunately lees tape knackered with all the best ogwen riding on it) and the guy is the middle is tom who organised the indoor trials event
  5. oh didn't know that!! there are quite a few! in that case get him over  there are tons of reason and to be fair norco/sole pay for him to drive around us/candian all year, probably already booked for somewhere!
  6. As far as Mr Onzabob is concerned I do agree that the best comp riders (at the mo) are from europe (though the british guys are catching up (Y) ) To the non-trials mbuk reading public who the hell is vinny herman  and (regardless of what you think of there riding) for that reason only is why we need guys like ashton hawyes ackrigg there! Plus Ackrigg is a redicously good rider that can do pretty much anything on a bike and i have heard danny has been trying some rather crazy stuff lately! And i think think there is a bit of life left in the old dogs of hawyes and ashton still! Anyhow i am sure i ain't the only one that thinks representing the entire sprectrum of trials (comp, street, mod, stock, long short) is actually a good idea and good for the image of trials (and a hell of a lot better than riding around with KOXX on the side of you bike) Oh I don't think NORCO have a distributor in the UK at the mo, so pretty pointless promoting a frame/bike we can't buy. mike
  7. thats ace matt!!! the video will be up tomorrow at some point!! mike
  8. no it wasn't, but it wasn't meant to be, but i didn't really make that clear! I just meant it was a good thing that a 'real' band did that! that basically nirvana made a mockery of miming (the wildhearts did it too i think, played with kids toy instruments and where pissed) and maiden just flat out refused, both are good because they both are anti-miming which is a good thing!!
  9. true, but iron maiden are better they just flat out refused to mime and basically where the first band to play live for years!
  10. Definately a good overall line up there! I would prefer maybe one more techy street rider, but I'd be happy to see that line up! edd is probably too busy riding his bmx!! mike ryan leech would have been nice
  11. true, but remember pink floyd were about before the mtv and music video became popular/important! Thats when image really became more important than the music! the 80s and the launch of mtv was the start of the whole right image, cool video....and there a record label has made some money. Yes bands/singer.etc had image before then but it was a whole lot harder to make money off rip offs because ultimately most people only heard the music! yeah there was top of the pops and stuff, but compared to the 60s/70s its so easy to saturate the market with a groups image! i have blabbered on a bit, there a point in there somewhere mike
  12. 25psi ish front and rear, i like my bike to feel er....even (if that make sense) when on two wheel! altho i drop the pressure when on natural or slippery stuff because my tires are made of plastic!
  13. :) the song rules, it a great update of a aerosmith classic and also pratically relauched Aerosmiths career! I agree the video is awesome as well! I am actually shocked that you said that! what about the last 6/7 years all the crap we have had: limp bizkit cypress hill's dust and bones album x-encutioers that crap band that covered 'i got the power' (EDIT: JUST REMEMBERED IT WAS H-BLOXX) crazytown papa roach p.o.d the kennerdy soundtrack and a million other bands... plus it was happening way before the whole rap-metal thing came about. Generally L.A Glamsters Faster Pussycat are regarded as having the first rap-rock song with 'babylon' on there s/t debut B) and of course beastie boys had a couple in the 80s. Hell even Duff McCagen did it on his 1993 (i think) solo album believe in me! even axl rose used to throw a rap in the middle of rocket queen during the use your illusion tour! though if you want to listen to a really really good rap rock song (actually the best one ever) download 'bring the noise' by anthrax and public enemy but yeah rap rock does generally work best when its a rap and rock artist collaborating, rather than a rocker trying to rap or rap artist trying to rock! mike
  14. christ tim crazy topic!! yeah i mean i would hate to be a burden fo my loved ones if i was paralyzed and to live life without mobilty and riding my bike would suck, but even if i was paralyzed i could still be involved somehow and watch the sport grow B) which would be cool! and my part of me woldn't want to give up on life as i could still see the world and maybe try wheelchair downhill :P but being kinda outdoorsy it would probably be upset not being able to try stuff i want to try!! but then if i die i would never be able to see if axl rose releases 'chinese democracy' :) mike
  15. please don't get orange, it definately a bad idea. nope don't get it :D"
  16. cool vids dude :P cheers the that one above doesn't work and i can't find it on the site!! (Y)
  17. by the sounds of it your just a better rider than he is! ultimately it comes down to technique, power and probably stamina. Yeah maybe if two riders had '100% stats' on all three of these than the taller one probably could go a little higher or a little further! but height certainly used as an excuse! mike
  18. Don't the ones from websites always have something like 'sent from www.randomwebsite.com' or something along those lines!!
  19. anyone know how to get that iplaylist thing (or similar) to work with windows? cheers mike
  20. best bet is to give the chunky legged fellow a pm :( mike
  21. I have only heard one song, i think its 'encore/faint' (the one thats always on kerrang/scuzz) but its crap and honestly downright lazy, they haven't even bothered to write new songs, just cut and paste two songs together. But then i ain't a fan of either, so the chances of liking it were slim, but if they had written some songs together, you i would have given credit for that. It ain't exactly something new either :( 'bring tha noise' mike
  22. mines half inner half outy, so i didn't vote
  23. when you go on the internet and you automatically type 'www.trials-forum.co.uk' instead of the website you want to go too! when you get pissed off that your favorite walls have had (spikey) railings put up by the council! when you have watched manifesto everynight for the past two weeks! when you go somewhere new and look for bash/tyre marks to see if its already been ridden!!
  24. thats cool dude (Y) will give me time to finish editing a certain video :ermm:
