Didn't Mr King stop warrentying (sp??) hubs for trials use? Seems odd if they did that they have linked with a trials company... altho that could be the reason (or one of them) for onza developing its own rear hub. anyhow it all sounds nice and good, they should make a solid version of the tensile bash though, I seem to have put a small bend in mine :- mike

yeah weight of the person is also an important factor, I am 10 stone and my setup works great for me and the way I ride. but i know that my mate kev is nearer 15 stone and he rides in a 'more natural' style than me and i know he doesn't get on with my brake very well. mike

true but two friends bought rimjam greens at the bike, while they are well made pads, they lasted a few weeks (actually one of them is on one rimjam and one koolstop). One of them has gone through a rimjams, heatsink konigs and monty orangey ones, since the bike show. Thats over £30 on pads. While another mate bought koxx browns at the bike show and show little sign of wearing. anyhow...smooth rims and vees > * :) haha

i think is backhopping, but with no pedal kick. Just using your weight ;) It's pretty difficult (I find) but then I have seen rossi and cultivated matt do decent gaps uisng this technique ^_^ EDIT: I should read the rest of the topic before posting :(

very true... from experiences with friends brakes, the greens will have a better brake, but the koxx's will last way longer and still be good!

I think a little tact is called for sometimes. If you are gonna ride on memorials, make sure there aren't any people around looking like they are having a sit remembering their dad, husband, whatever. Come back later - it will still be there! Don't ride them on remembrance day and near that time. Be sensible. I am lucky as they aren't any war memorials to ride on in leeds, so I don't often face this problem. We do ride on walls near one (but aren't part of the memorial) and we got asked to move on, so we did. To repeat what Wayne said if you ride on one, thats your choice, but if you get ask to move on, don't kick up a fuss. If you do your a knob!!!

I don't mean this in an offensive way or anything (I have never to my knowledge seen you ride) Making some interesting obsticles and stuff to ride on is a great, but make sure you can still ride what you make, because watching a demo where you keep falling off would be...well...crap! Other than that go for it, and take pics of what you make mike

that is true! i like gears too, but I just use singlespeed because its a hell of a lot easier. But the rule is you must have 6 working gears, regardless if you use them or not. scrap the rule and then people can run gears if they want and vice versa! mike
