About half an hour later I snapped my bars
  5. ignore me for the time being
  6. nicely done done - some great riding :wink2: uploading to a better host noe too (Y)
  7. haha it holds my lightweight ass - though my brake is better now (no grind though). on wednesday my front brake was actually better than my rear (Y) - gotta love my bike
  8. exactly dude, it makes you look at things in a different way too - often you end up using/learning a different technique just because its wet. plus when you do something in the wet it feels that little bit more satidfying (Y) mike
  9. over 21 for a campsite :) you haven't booked us into a gay one have tim? (Y)" :(
  10. At least 3 or 4 times a week :( we have even got your good friend Mr Kenny Wilson out more...
  11. the roadfools are awesome :( I own 13 and 9, but i have aquired 7,8 and the best of.. I don't like the best of, yeah great riding but it lacks the personality of any of the proper ones. Sick stuff though, love 'em Mike
  12. we are meeting Carl at Leeds Station at around 10:30ish and I assume we are meeting James there too! What 24" spares we taking Kenneth? Your back wheel, my front wheel, A pair of my old forks, I am gonna take a couple of spare vee levers and caplipers I have lying around, you got cable! I will take my spare Kujo too... ..that will do?
  13. very nice mr tomm :( whats the final spec of it?
  14. yeah it failed the 'lets ram a big spikey spike though it test' all the actual impact tests it passed. piss pots can generally take a few more knocks than mtb helmets too. Mike
  15. suspension (so are disk brakes no matter how cheap) makes the bike more appealing to thiefs too - stay rigid and vees! the specalized looks good, I would take the stickers off though as specalized is a 'name' and therefore more appealing to thiefs. Dawes and Ridgeback make decent hybrids for cheap prices, usually have decent specs and frames for the price. Plus Dawes are generally 'safe' handling bikes. Mike
  16. hail.... the only weather that stops me riding, just bloody hard rain. Other than that it just depends on my mood, had some great rides in the rain. A couple of weeks ago I was riding some wooden balance beams in the wet (in a playgorund) that a week earlier i couldn't do in the dry :( ! Snow is awesome to ride in too Mike
  17. Newest pic of mine, now has 90mm stem, All black front wheel (demolition hub, black spokes, odyessy hazard lite rim), glow in the dark linear slic front brake cable going down steerer tube, maxxis swampthing rear, leopardskin stars on the seat/tooptube join area and a huge dent in the left hand chainstay. more pics here my old ashton Rich, maxxis swamp thing :) Mr the666ers, whats the spec of your 21.5lbs 24" ? Mike
  18. i meant you can get capix from rollersnakes... I dunno what colour I got I just said to give me whatever is in stock :)
  19. I ordered a large they only have large and xl in stock at the mo - try rollersnakes though they had all sizes in stock. But you now have a bucky lasek so...meh!! the newer protec ones and tsg ones have solid foam all round the helmet and use smaller pads to alter fit, whereas the older pro-tec one and capix ones have a softer foam lining and foam pads, that don't go around all the helmet, just at certain points. So the helmet has more flex in it and provides a comfier fit and has more room for air to circulate so are a bit cooler too :) mike
  20. hi - there are a bunch of us in leeds :) and the surrounding area. it really ain't that hard to go from york to leeds on train either. your quite wlecome to join the fun :D mike
  21. ordered mine today from custom riders :) :D
  22. Tim's post should read.. This trip is gonna be mint - looking forward to meeting a load of you lot!! DO A WHEELIE
  23. mechs can take a fair beating before actually breaking and becoming unusable - a hell of a lot more than a crappy aluminium hangers. plus I would much rather spend £15 on a sora mech than a shitty hanger mike
