  1. did it bollocks >_< - the program works fine, but i just can't convert that particular file because its protected. i do have a rather long winded back up plan that i am going to give a shot, which has a definate old skool flavour to it... mike
  2. they looted too, i don't blame them either. the only way too solve this would be to go through all the photo and look at other descriptions... anyone?? nope didn't think so...
  3. its because that wall (and that area) is awesome. I have always wondered why its called the coust wall, i saw it in video's way before that coustellier video, if anything should be named after them it should be that green box to phone box line anyhow, nice tuck there damon, when are we gonna see a vid?
  4. they apparently knew it was gonna hit two weeks ago, so there was plenty of warning for people to move away or organise shelter. media in america is comparing to that tausami that hit asia a while back, that killed 500,000! slight overstatement...
  5. its more just a case of getting used to the bike, but in general a short - mid range bike are more easy to bunnyhop than really long ones. generally people run higher rise stems on high bb rise bikes - the vinco for example uses a mod stem. the most important thing about brakes is the setup, maguras ain't just better than vee's - with a good setup and good pads, both maggies and vee's can provide plenty of power. i think magura's are popular, not because they are better than vee, but because they were better than cantilevers and u brakes back in the day. People often stick to what they know works.
  6. i should learn to keep programs updated :) cheers
  7. hi i wanna convert a wmv file to an mpg file (or divx would do). anyone know of any free programs? or a program and a *cough* crack *cough* ta mike

Going to boths wheel is meant to be 'better' - i think it because it takes mor effort to hop to anchor the front down and then bring the back wheel up, rather than just do it in one hop and go to both. Damon is the only big sidehopper that use's the 'anchor the front down' technique, it works for him... mike
  9. hey dude, the best bet is for us to know what you want in a frame do you want something long and low? or something a bit shorter and streetier? there are plenty of good frames out there for £300 too mike
  10. i will just be buying tony hawks:american wasteland - skateboarding, bmx and freerunning in one game, set in L.A
  11. schwalbe make a car type tube with a screwy bit... or you get one of these when get a high pressure tube mike
  12. IRC do tubes with schraeder valves that screw down - and they do an xc type too ;) mike
  13. just outta interest, does anyone know if it has normal geo or more 'extreme' geo like the 26"?
  14. using a different shaped downtube (teardrop shape) also help to prevent denting - like the planet x zebdi downtube, that was pretty resistant (Y) mike
  15. none, but you can't enter any world champs on a 24" !! but in that case would a CLS phython be a stock and a base ta26 a mod?? at the end of the day, does anyone really give a shit... its a bike, you ride it!! mike
  16. i don't think it matters about allowing 24" in comps anyhow - most people that want to compete and do well will either ride mod or stock anyhow! and if you have a 24" and just want to compete for a laugh, good time and against your mates - you can just ride the same route as them, but out of class. which pretty much all trials clubs will let you do mike
  17. yeah but those definitions when people just rode trials on standard mtb's, nowadays all trials bike could be called mods..
  18. that was a great video james - really loved it, expecially some of the techy stuff and that 180 gap - you can see nick goddard in the background is all :o :ermm: :o and shit nice one dude  mike
  19. ] it was you  :(" :P reading that msn was about as erotic as watching crown green bowling...
  20. you weigh more than your bike - so just use your body weight/movement and a punch on the pedals and your bike will follow mike oh yeah - and if you are doing static ones and using a stamp on the pedals - spin the way of forward/good/choc foot
  21. all you young uns with your cheap chris kings, i remember when £360 for a stock king was cheap, mine was £190 2nd hand!! eh by gum.. at the end of the day trials is hard on bikes/components there is always gonna be someone who's breaks something within a week. A guy called Tom from wakefield, tried a profile (on stock) , but had nothing but trouble with bits breaking and it skipping and stuff, where as my king goes for months (last one was at xmas) without a service and doesn't skip/slip!
  22. http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=filebrowser/thetart20 the link is on that page :P
  23. i tried the front brake down the steerer tube twice with shimano cable and i thought they felt horrid! got the old linear slick on the go and its sweet - i would definately recommend it :P mike
