don't get parrellel push vee's the are poo for trials, the linkages goes all wobbly and crap get a get either avid sd3, 5 or 7, cane creak dc3 or even deore on the cheap, some xt levers and odyessy linear slic cable, good pads and booster :rolleyes: and your away. he said that vee's can be as good as maguras, but he also said he wants to upgrade to a better vee brake, which implies he has a poor type of vee brake maybe a no name brand, which is probably poo. mike

thread hijack alert - as this is about pads too!! what pads would people reckonmend for street with a grind, i mean i will be doing manuals and stuff and what a pad that will last well, and won't just die on a grind with a bit of brake dragging (Y) thinking about koxx browns at the mo, i want something that will work in the wet as winter is coming mike EDIT: vee or magura :-

trials would definately be lacking something without the net. i wouldn't have met halve the peeps i have without it, but oddly i met tim,kev and james just when i was knocking around uni one day (i actually was meant to be on a big leeds ride too, but was late) and when i met kenny that was cool, arranged to meet him on here and then went for a wet ride at leeds uni and we just pissed about..haha its so good reading stories of what happend on rides/roadtrips/comps etc on the forum too. and of course i doubt i would have seen as many vids as i have. its all good, except for the bad points :) mike

kings are awesome headsets and will outlast frame/bikes etc, but they are expensive and ain't necessary a cheaper headset if looked after will last ages too. Hopes are good too. so either king, hope or fsa really depending on how much you are willing to spend!

well damn cbs to hell, was watching the news (in san diego :) ) the thursday before rita hit and they where saying they were both class 5's....meh it was my fault for beliving american media though :huh: yeah i suppose they learnt there lesson from katrina, hopefully for the future too.
