    New Bars?

made in the same factory as easton (Y) how long did your eastons last you? Aluminium bars should really be replaced periodically before they snap. But no-one does...hehe...inc me. Easton do make some of the best bars out there. you could try the easton vice bars instead, have 2" rise, but its a shallower/longer curve, which makes them a bit stronger maybe some like maxm bars would be good, but very pricy :( I am trying to get some sic bars at mo, www.sicusa.com!
  2. you have pretty much just described an echo pure there...
  3. nice little vid :S the guy show A LOT of potential to be a really great rider. I agree with steve that he looks like he is enjoying riding and having fun, which is great to see :P mike
  4. I personally would much rather have either a shop sponser or importer sponser, rather than a trials company. the only trials component (not inc the frame, altho many would argue it isn't a 'trials' frame) I have on my bike is actually the tensile cranks...
  5. I just love ryan leech topics... he may not gap the furthest, sidehop the highest or tap up huge objects. But his riding is seriously skilled, to try that stuff without correction hops is crazy. His riding is uber-tech and just about having fun and moving your body and bike in new and different ways. And to the people that said he took loads of goes trying a line, he has said himself it would have been pointless doing lines he could have done first go. He wanted to try a push his riding for the dvd. oh and Ali I agree, he does sound f**king harsh in those old videos!! mike
  6. your on a wall, what more can i say...
  7. I agree TWAT and WANKER are too classic to mess with and will out live all the 'puss faced cock knobbler' shite that the young uns come up with, they to long, to cumbersome and to cryptofascist!!!!! f**k is also a classic
  8. there is a 2nd leeson for sale in the for sale/wanted bit??? £250 I think you want a fairly shortish/mid length bike, but you want a bike that you can throw/flick around and anything too long and low will just be a bit cumbersome.
  9. thats probably the best way, i wouldnt go lower than 190 though
  10. he fairly tall i think 6 foot at least, he has a fairly short stem on it though, like 70mm. Thats why I suggested a slightly longer stem. not sure on the top tube length!
  11. don't do it rich you might shrink yourself :P :- :ermm:

yeah haha they is some weird industrial band that did onstage once - glad i wasn't at that gig! the chances of your brake finding the right resonance frequency is slim and the time your brake is on wouldn't be long enough to cause any serious damage. would be an interesting warrenty claim though....
  13. I have a mate you rides an 2005 pitbull 1060 and does bunnyhops, manuals, 180s, 360s, etc as well as normal trials - put a shortish (90-100) stem, make the front end fairly high and put some risers on it :ermm: - they are strong bikes, look at what tunni puts his through. its a shame that you won't get a pashley again, because the new ones really are nice and perfect for what you wanna do mike
  14. i am sure he is wearing koxx shorts at one point (Y) anyhow good vid, some very good riding and it was let down by the song mike
  15. toxsin are great frame, BUT are not aggresive street frames and won't excell at the type of riding its sounds like you wanna do. The echo pure, if you can find a one (a 1060 one would be best) would be a good frame. I don't know much about the Norcos. A pashley 26Ghz would be good too or maybe a Curtis. or a Base TA26 (you have to run a proper seatpost with them) How much are you looking to spend. Mike
  16. I am 25 and have been riding for a fair few years and I am currently riding better than ever... I used to get stressed when riding, that I couldn't do this or that. Then I thought balls to it, just go out and have fun do what i wanna do and have a laugh on my bike. As a result I am now uping higher, gapping further etc. so maybe just take a step back, have a play on some smaller walls, try a few different techniques and get yourself used to be on the bike again. mike
  17. er....your both shit (Y) :) too many pies for both of you especially that damon he punctures just riding along but rossi can out pie both of you
  18. I think its plainly obvious that a lot of people (me included) have let this event down, by not sending entry forms in (take a look at the other thread) for whatever reason , but I do want this event to go ahead and I apologise for not getting mine in. So everyone should so there support by getting there entry forms do over the next couple for days, because the really are tons of fun and the stuff you ride on is like nowhere else in the country  And I have talked to people who are looking forward to going in the last couple of weeks. mike
  19. ring supercycles too and get me a 24" ronnie too
  20. kenny give goodridge a ring  and blag some using your scottish charm
  21. Echo Vee Pads Brake Setup: Avid SD7 Lever, Cane Creek C2 caliper, Linear Slic Cable, Shimano Booster Time Used: a couple of months Grind?: run on both a smooth rim and a grind. Other Pads Used: Koolstop Salmon Compound, Heatsink Whites and Konigs(red) Performance: Smooth Rim: If it is dry and clean they are awesome, but lack any decent performance in the wet and struggle in dusty condition. Wear rate was very good. Grinded Rim: They don’t work as well on a grind as the do on a dry smooth rim, but are far more consistant overall. The performance isn’t great though, I was backing wheeling a handle bar height wall and they just weren’t holding me as well and often slipped backwards. It rained last night and I thought I would test them a bit and the were outclassed by Koolstop Dual Compound BMX pads (smooth rim) I had on the front, which I rode through puddle and they still had loads of bit and power. I could still front hop with them, with no slippage. The Rear brake had very little bite and didn’t inspire confidence. Overall: Great pads if you live somewhere hot and dry, otherwise don’t bother! Heatsink Red (Konig) Brake Setup: Avid SD7 Lever, Cane Creek C2 caliper, Linear Slic Cable, Shimano Booster Time used: a few months on and off Grind?: run on both a smooth rim and a grind. Other Pads Used: Koolstop Salmon Compound, Heatsink Whites, Echo Vee Performance: Smooth:In the dry they worked great and and were solid and felt really good. i only probs i had with them - one of the pads slightly came away from the backing, i think it was from doing fakies though, and using the brake to spin out. - i had a little trouble with wet and dusty performance, i think this was due to the smooth pad surface and smooth rim surface. I chopped some grooves into the pads and this improved performance. Grinded Rim: Awesome, but obviously this is wore them down too fast, which is well know. Overall: Great pads on a smooth rim, bar a few niggles. Hopefully the new blues will be better, expect a review in a bit. Mike EDIT - just generally being a spaz
  22. some insane riding there tunni, you have got the skillz to pay the billz... but, as a video I found it a bit boring but there was way to many repeated clips and slo-mo for me. I think a short, sharp 2:30min burst of riding with little slomo, repeated clips and repeated moves so it makes people go 'holy shit did you see that, lets watch it again' crazy good riding mike
  23. I got RIDE yesterday and its well worth it for the dvd, slightly dodgy music but some crazy ass riding....souter is ace
  24. nah you would have it short so you could bunnyhop again :P
