As well as trials I do XC, road, and street. Each discipline helps out with certain aspects of the others which is quite good

Zoo or Gu forks would look nice with that frame although you would have to run a disc. I think Viz make some black ones with maggy/v mounts in a different shape to those.

I'm off to uni in september (hopefully) and I was just wondering what's the work load like in the first year? How much time/many days do you spend there?

Unscrew the hose from the old lever, screw it into the new lever, give it a fresh bleed, simple as that

It would just wear out extremely quickly, plus isn't that why it's inbetween the bash and the frame anyway - to soften the impact?

Won't work, the ratios between the pistons will not be right. Also the hope is an open system with a reservoir whereas the magura is a closed system without a reservoir (I think that last sentence was right anyway )

Never used them but advantages I can think of might be: less chance of them kinking, and less chance of them being ripped out of the lever when you fall off and the bars spin round, also maybe a more solid feel to the lever???

If it does hurt give 'specialized phat bar wrap' (it's called something like that) a go, it's a bit thicker than other roadie tapes and you can get gel inserts to go under it aswell, I've got it on my road bike and it's reet comfy.

I'd say get a BB7, more modulation than a magura but loads of power when you need it Also with a disk it's one less rim to grind edit: mine only took around two rides to bed in and that was just from using it to slow down, so I wouldn't really worry about the bedding in period

That's what I thought but I tried it when I had no hairspray to hand and it worked alright. I think it just dries after a while but still stops water and crap getting under your grips.
