I theorise, that as gravity is an accelerative force, your drop gap capabilities will DECREASE exponentially as you inital height increases. You can work it out using basic projectile knowledge (all assuming you are constant etc as said above) and SUVAT equations too v2 = u2 + 2as

Awesome stuff adam, made me late for work now Very smooth like but some beasty lines! Ali seems unstoppable on those first set of rocks and stan seems to get extra gap boost from nowhere? Almost as if the vid was photoshopped! Haha great riding, good stuff

word. But raw footage...to send over msn... ouch

Good luck everyone. Have a belter!

I highly recomend you DO still use it. Ive completly lost 1 tooth of mine and did so...er... at koxx days 2007 i think? Soon as I got my bike out the car haha. Lame. Still, it works fine, no skipping, no problems. Thats one tooth though, 2 might be different, You just have to try it to be honest BTW sorry anyone who's ridden on my bike, and only found this out today
-
True, but the more you ride it, it becomes much easier to bail properly, spotting where to put your feet before you jump off the pedals
-
I know its late but Im running one on 18T - 12T mod gearing and its fine Snapped it though this weekend but yeah all good
-
Also the truth. I dent my koxx rim before I pinch (usually)
-
im glad you enjoyed it... nice of you to tell the forum too Expect possible flaming haha Still its good, I really hate riding tre trunks, especially in damp conditions. I swear I clench my arse everytime I sidehop onto a slippery log Keep at it!

Ebay looks like a great option! North face stuff is pretty valuable in the UK too! I work at blacks outdoor stuff and TNF things go flying out! Mostly topend paclite jackets like the Prophecy do well, but the McMurdo parkas will be a BIG BIG and WISE WISE investment! They sell at £250 here so Im sure you could pick up a few over there for cheaper! Also, why not become Aspire velotech 2? Sure he's doing well for himself. Also when you go back to USA again, Might be worth getting a list of things you want to take from the UK to sell, Trials part wise... I met a guy from New Mexico who took a few frames home with him because he couldn't get hold of them anywhere in the US

yeah you've damaged the suit, its your fault etc, but if you didn't sign anything you're not legally bound to it... But if it were me Id pay for it. Think about role reversal, you're the business owner, now with a f*cked suit...

If you go to youtube, and search "Neil Adamant 4" it comes up But dear me how can you keep getting better Neil? Your gaps got bigger, and your hooking thin shizzle? Insane, absolutly loved it though, I really really like the rail ride to gap too! Awesome precision there! Great stuff!

haha good job hes gone away for a few weeks Dave, whos chris? tbf one of the sections that got changed was ok, hard like but ok. The other one I was glad got changed, that was too dangerous imo, I looked at it, studied the routes and still decided that i didn't like it one bit. I appreciate trials is dangerous but it shouldn't be so dangerous that people just drop out straight away. And the reason I say dangerous and not hard - the section with that huge triangular rock... that was a larf, nothing dodgy about that at all, hence I was gladly throwing myself at it! I know alot of people, even in elite couldn't do that, so you cant really say that you should drop a class in that case... And the other end of the spectrum... there were a couple of sections that were quite easy (for red) Before people start having a bitch, im not complaining. I enjoyed the day thoroughly except snapping my chain which was shit I think if you averaged the sections out, they were fine. great thanks to everyone who help set them up. Thanks to barbara for sending the good vibes to the weatherman, no thanks to Will for the banana skins though...

every term... ahhh good times
-
yeah i forgot to point out that you have, some people DO take it majorly seriously, like too much in my opinion. But alot of people dont. Usually the well known elite riders are these that dont take it serious, particularly Wayne haha Some people dont like comp pressure, which is fair enough, I think if people are THAT against it, then dont do it fair enough. But some people are more than capable of a good trial and just not making the effort which is kinda a shame Meh I dno lol

ahhh the fox got stuck in a ditch

thats the worst thing to say ever. I hope to hell youre being sarcastic... Why should you mimic seone else's life? Can you not decide for yourself? Why just become another duplicate of someone else? Whats the point? We don't need 2 exact copies of Ryan Leech! I think a lot of people who are saying its all very serious havent actually been to a comp, or definitly not the ones Ive been going too. Theres alot of, almost, "gangs" at comps that tend to keep themselves to themselves and not mix in with others. When I go to comps, I just see it as more of a social lark, just like a big street ride Like today, (before my chain snapped) that big triangle rock in red + yellow route that everyone struggled on, near the tent. As much as I failed miserably at it, it was a good laugh everyone hurling methods and techniques at me. I fived it but it was great fun. Then trying to bunnyhop it with no chain afterwards and ... yeah that bail i did was kinda silly...but its such good fun. Lot of people saying that the sidehops are awkward and stuff but surely thats more challenging? Admitedly awkward sidehops etc tend to be quite high and hard to begin with, but practice on smaller stuff does help so much. And I also agree with the point said before, alot of tgs riders would do surprisigly well in comps, even if they dont think so.
