Yeah but does the plane take off?
  3. My friend bought some and I tried them on. Lovely as fook. Not for climbing though, I don't care what anyone says they'd be all kinds of shit for that. the KSO's are what I tried (keep sand out) and I could have worn them all day. Only problem I found is that there's a sock on the inside thats like a glove. Your toes go inside this glove and my spazzy toes take a while to get in there... Anyway Id say do it. Can't you buy online and send them back if they're the wrong size?
  4. Just in case you didn't know: http://d24w6bsrhbeh9d.cloudfront.net/photo/5818373_460s.jpg
  5. and the lazy link of the incident: Good find!

  7. I found that MASSIVELY cringing... sorry
  8. Did you hear about the guy who cooled himself to absolute zero? Hes OK now.
  9. Rode trials for the last 8 years of my life. In the beginning I really enjoyed it, met loads of people most of them awesome friends but also a couple of knobs Id rather not associate with (as with life in general like). Attended comps and met even more awesome people, went to Koxx days when it was cool, bristol rides, brum rides, london rides. Towards the latter years I started getting annoyed with the insane amount of money things cost and becoming a student doesn't help that. I found that your long-term enjoyment of trials is directly related to how well your bike is working, so when you can't afford a new part and you're making do, you enjoy it less. Became more fed up with never having a decent bike, took up climbing with a friend and haven't looked back since. Id still enjoy going on a ride but I don't have a working bike, or the enthusiasm to fix it - its easier and cheaper for me to go out and climb. EDIT: Years of dealing with arm pump though made me a better climber before I started though

I agree with Dave but Ive never been good with any brake set up. I couldn't get LGM's to bite at all
  11. Just grab loads of crap and throw it around inside. Then ride the resultant. When you get bored, repeat In seriousness just try to avoid square edges and flat face. Thats how creativity evolves!
  12. I have a feeling arguments may follow in this thread I liked it, his style and skill is very unique and it just looked fun. Almost as if he didnt plan anything and just rode. I preferred the original music though for the first vid... In terms of saying its the best video though, you cant really say that as everyones opinions and tastes of trials has changed. I much prefer natural riding, and watching the control needed there. Thus to me, that was not the best video ever (IMO its zoo video 25 ) Still thanks for sharing, not seen it before
  13. I soloed an E1 last month (tbf it was unprotectable) but given that E2 is my hardest trad lead so far I was pushing it a bit (and given last time I tried to solo an E2, it didnt end well for me...) I wanted to onsight it too just so I didnt feel I was cheating myself. The climb was 5a tech grade so not too hard, but it had been unclimbed for years and the lichen was everywhere. It involved a slabby arete you have to pull onto from a block on the side. Once you're there, a load a small scoops pave the way upwards. The scoops themselves were good enough, but the lichen made everything so much sketchier. I managed it onsight and got to the top so chuffed and shaking quite a bit from the adrenaline. It feels SO good to solo hard stuff but I cant say Id actively aim to go out and do it again. EDIT: not been climbing since May Muel? tut tut
  14. I liked it, nice and chilled. Did make me laugh how he was a bit unshaven for a remington advert though
