  1. 2 mm longer 1 mm longer chain stay - 5mm lower BB + nearly £400 LOL
  2. might be seeing you again soon then
  3. nope Im about average build and 18:12 is fine for me. I think you'll find 18:12 gives you a massive range of options too in terms of products, setups and configurations: Espeicially if you're getting new cranks too. You can run Front Freewheel (FFW) You can run Front Freewheel + Bash ring. Then take any bash plates off You can run rear cassette (IE a profile hub or a king if you've got the cash) and then an 18t cog on the cranks (Again with or without a bashring) As for what bits to choose, again you've got a LOT of choice
  4. As the cold weather sets in, how many of you slugs have given up for the time being? Im still going in Swansea, apparently its colder back home though! So we'll see. Front to back on icy rails y'all?
  5. haha I went to my LBS. £3 Also used some nice blue coloured outer cable which I bought of Davetrials/Dave Harding/Hugh Hefner off here. The set up was absolutly perfect, possibly the most lethal disc brake in the world.
  6. LOL haha _pwned 18/12 = 1.5 24/16 = 1.5 He speaks the truth
  7. On a mod they are fine, but on your stock, no no no! Although they work and can work ok, maguras/vee's are much better and reliable, so go with them. On the front though 203mm wil be the dogs bollocks
  8. Vee's don't Freeze If you have the time and not the money, buy a set of avid ultimates or something (Im out of the vee-brake know-how sorry) and some coust pads from heatsink and you should be laughing. However if you've got more money than you can count, you may as well buy the V brake adapters, buy a magura and buy some pads to go with. Grind your rim and you should be laughing
  9. Well depending on how noticeably low the gear feels, you may want to go as far as 18:13. I remember tarty Adam had that on his monty and it felt really light and jumpy. Problem is obviously you dont get as high a speed so if you're well built theres no point in it (I reckon) 18:12 is the norm, and I think that 18:12 is the answer to your question
  10. I cant get over how much joe as grown!! Mint stuff, I loved it
  11. Technically yes, but in practice meh Longer cranks on mods are so fun for static stuff. You really can feel the difference, even if its just 10mm!
  12. haha would be interesting to see the internals
  13. Well I wont go into "we're not all like that" But the majority which you're talking about arent grumpy, they're just arrogant and patriotic. Alot them believe they should be a separate country anyway, and they dont need England in any way shape or form to survive.... ...*snigger*
  14. Well, I just woke up And now Im going to uni for a formula student meeting, then do a bit of maths work, maybe some beam deflection work, then Im going out Theres also a builder on my roof. Not sure how he got there or what hes doing but good on him for getting some fresh air on these cold days!
