I've just been round to my mate Rob's (thanks d00d) and he grinded it off for me =8¬). He suggested welding the spinny bit to the main body so it becomes a fixed cog, and then put it in a vice to turn it.

You weren't contacted because you weren't at the meeting. Im not saying thats your fault, but the only people who knew this was discussed was myself, Tom, Josh and Rob. Bob didn't know, Will didn't know, Ducko didn't know etc. etc. Even still this may not be going ahead as it would be based on turnout. i.e. if its only Will that turns up theres no point running it. There's no point in advertising such competitions if its only going to be cancelled and let everyone else down. That is why this thread only suggests a competition may be taking place, not "is in the process of planning" Not having a go at you mate, I know you are willing to participate and i don't blame you for being a bit miffed. But there are other people in the same position as you who were kept in the dark but are still willing to help because they know others benefit from this

Sorry but i couldn't get hold off blue spokes/nipples...well i probably could but I dont want to wait any longer, i want to get this wheel built. EDIT: Anyone know where I can get blue spokes from? I was promised some silver spokes but thats gone down the bog

If I ordered some spokes which are too long/short, would it matter that much? I thought that it would just change the amount that the hub is twisted? Thanks

£200?! Ive got Da Bomb pro, maguras with koolstops, Alex DX32 rim, unknown forks, cranks and hubs (must be good), Sticky fingers tyres, Club roost sport bars, ACS claws, and an alex (i think) y303 rim.... which i similar spec to yours.... Hands up who would by my bike for £200??

Ive had an ACS for about 3 months and has only skipped twice whilst pedalling from place to place. £80 or whatever it is, IS a lot of money, and I guess if you really want comfort with gaps its a good choice. I getting a profile soon though =8¬P. Cant be Ar-didily-ars*d with freewheels because i've had a lot of problems with them. Wasnt willing to pay money on an ENO either
