I first picked up MBUK because it was the only mag with trials in. That issue had a group a lads being taught by martyn ashtona couple of hints and I remember "blimey, if I get a bit better maybe mbuk will come and visit us!" the photo comps as well, i remember having numerous photos which could have beaten some of the ones that one, yet where was the entry address? e-mail address? I didn't even get feedback to see if it had been posted to the correct address. When you look at how big DH + XC is in MBUK compared to trials then you start to realise that they just don't want trials in it anymore. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't recall koxx days having a couple of pages to itself (maybe i neglected to purchase that issue) but surely thats a big thing? I always thought that Martyn's column is just his thoughts, usually relating to trials although he is a god, he doesn't tell you what to do, so theres no need to take him word for word. I don't think MBUK is going downhill as such, its just pushing trials further and further out of the mag.....towards the back lol

Well i have two thoughts about a trials park idea. I've noticed a lot of skate parks are essentially a skate shop with a skatepark behind them? so i mean if you have a shop + a park as well you're going to generate a bit more dosh The other idea was to try and combine two or more sports together, such as bmx + trials but then theres the problem of actually doing it as bmx and trials are so different. Gap to grind rails is fair enoug easy, but everything else is a slight problem Im just trying to shed some light on this topic because don't deny it, its our dreams to have a proper place to ride trials in the UK. Away from cops, old biddies etc. Im starting to get annoyed at the public's view so i just want to do something different I was thinking maybe the place could have a different layout each day/week to add more variety But maybe when im at the right stage of my life i might put this plan in motion

OK Bare in mind the following my question is simply how much per hour would you be prepared to pay to use a trials park. 1) Insurance would be through the roof as it is 2) Rent of the building 3) Lighting, heating etc. 4) The more you pay the more likely the park would continue This is all 100% hypothetical, im just interested to see what peoples answers are like Thanks

is it actually right for parents to encourage children at such a young age to focus solely on one thing? Hes good obviously but still surely he should be focusing on academic studies

If I go to my right I go to 2 wheels but hardly tuck at all and im really off balance If I go to my left I go to front wheel and kinda tuck and im really off balance I go higher to my right at the moment too so im screwed either way lol
