  1. no, hope mono trial I have put the washers on but I may need to put some more on to pad it out, but the real problem is the tiltiness of the disc (or so it seems) its literally going from one side to the other I think the width of my hub may be a problem. It was on my megamo so maybe the widths are different? Also can I run my caliper with a washer on one bolt and not on the other?
  2. ok well after arsing around for the last 3 hours trying to sort it, heres some answers firstly the KMC + KHE are pretty much the same length I tried making a KMC half link but the pin wouldn't stay in So using the KHE split link I had, I made a half link on the KMC chain because its slightly thinner The result Great chain line, chain is tight about 4mm away from the back of the dropout which means plenty of pad coverage. But now the next problem: The disc is wonky in the caliper i.e. one side of the pads hit the disc before the other. At first you'd think that I've tensioned the two with major differences but they're both the same distance in the dropout. so WTF is it wonky!? Never mind, looks like im not going on the ogwen ride tomoz....
  3. I dunno but they had the tryall freewheel on it so 18 up front which means 12 on rear - Same as me argh gays.... brb
  4. oh yeah forgot to say, half link chains SUCK as I snapped one no less than 15 times...and that was shearing the pieces of metal clean in 2
  5. OK new disc frame, setting up all going well except...ive come to do disc alignment + chain tension using snail cams. Basically I want the disc as far in the dropout as Possible to give maximum coverage of the brake pads on the disc surface, BUT my chain becomes floppy, but not enough to remove a link Im going to try a different chain for now, but if that doesn't work, is my only option a tensioner? thanks...any suggestions most welcome

cos of the shit they recieved for having a laugh. In fairness they're right its not worth it if they're going to get that so I can understand if they dont want to go, but please do guys! you were ace and gave the camp a bit more light heartedness
  7. very nice, rich tapping nicely as always
  8. Anyone else confused? He didn't mention cranks? :S My zip was the best bike I had, Uber strong, uber nice to ride. If they made a dual disc model, Ill be getting one after my hydroxx snaps.
  9. about an hour from edinburgh to london, or london to edinburgh depending or whether you hate london or edinburgh...either way its a fast escape
  10. No it wouldn't It just means your cranks would move more before it engages. Whether you have a 2cm crank or a 200cm crank, you still have to rotate it the same amount, its just it actually moves more at the end Good post ogre, very easy to follow
  11. --> QUOTE(joe b @ Apr 5 2007, 12:17 PM) ←He was . Me and Bessell were there. I felt sorry for him at first - it was a right f**ker - but for him to be nearly crying just made us cry with laughter, haha... Cheers, Joe. ahaha you evil f*ckers

its fooking awesome. so awesome I had to get one Will be arriving thursday, so ill get some pictures up. Its a mod + stock frame available with magura + disc mounts, hydro formed and looks a bit like a levelboss really. Available in long + short
  21. hell yeah! I love the placement of the XTP2 disc caliper! such a good design. Although admittedly you dont damage the rotor anyway, but its out of the way and just looks tidy and more practical Also I love the way on the new models thats koxx is embossed on the frame. Its a nice little touch! And on one of them theres koxx on the dropouts again but I can't remember if it was cut out or un-embossed but still looked good Not sure about the bmx's though......
  22. What? You were moaning on the last day about how much you wanted to go home Good pics sam, hardly saw you there but still very good. Nice picture of tom? on the floor

Basically I've got shit loads of footage, and I think I've got enough for a long video (15 minutes) but Im sure most of you dont want to download a 150mb - 200mb video ( A ) So what Im thinking of doing is doing 2-3 videos of smaller chunks but the same footage. We did our trip in 2 sections really, as me and Will rode Dunkirk for a few days first, and then koxx days. so maybe a video of dunkirk and then 2 more of buthiers? OR ( B ) I could just sod that idea and make the 15 minute biggie Your choice guys. What do you want? Please make the first bit of your reply ( A ) or ( B ) to make things easier for me as you cant do polls for some reason Thanks PaRtZ
  24. will do blimey first eh? cant wait, looks ace
