well i have to pay on the 21st and the only money i had in paypal was transferred today (which will cover me) but it takes 5-7 working days to go through so it seems im going to miss the deadline... anyone had similar probs? im with ecar

yeah still dont see the advantage to be honest. if you land on your bash ring, more often than not you put your pedal down too so you're perfectly balanced

Im just astonished as im coming up to riding for 3 years, how ive stuck at it, I cant fathom it. Usually EVERYTHING is a fad for me. one point i was an RC fanatic, then model sail boats, then electrician etc etc but they've all gone now and trials is the only thing that I've stuck at and I don't really know why So post away your thoughts, whats stopped you from giving up trials and whats making you keep going cheers

hahanice one joe. didn't realise you actually did some riding only messin. some nice lines i would have struggle with there. especially on the bit where I filmed will, i dont think i could be bothered to maneouvre like you did nice one

it is, but it honestly doesn't feel it! it feels normal. OK its not as bargelike as my zip but its still nice and comfortable. They come in long though too

colwyn bay + rhyl, north wales but you sure? lol the red ones pretty boring and the other ones in rhyl.... voted the WORST place in the uk for crime due to a small police force.... lol

there we go. I make no excuses for my riding face... The bike itself is really nice to ride. Not used to gaps yet but sidehops are immense and my forward pedal ups have become better. Its easy to get your weight around the bike to stop you falling off too. Obviously i couldn't go too sick because I was bedding my rear avid in but it was still fun to ride. Nice and flicky

it seems that way too. Another lad looked at the cable rooting? seems a bit tight and he said that a front caliper would be more out the way any pictures will be up in a few minutes. Adam sorry Ill PM you with that measurements (and any others you want) tomoz had a good ride

ok all is sorted. Big thanks to will for this The answer is that the disc tab is already +20mm. meaning you can't run a 160mm rotor but you have to run a 160 caliper on a 185mm rotor because the caliper already has this +20mm from the frame Will got his 160mm (well a 185mm front which translates....yeah i wont confuse you) and we put it on the back to give us the 160mm caliper and it worked. We had room for movement too chain is now a normal length (dave the khe is back on) But we still had a problem... For some reason koxx have a MASSIVE weld on the chainstay/dropouts join meaning theres a big bulge on it....meaning the bracket cant sit flush on the dropout because this weld is on the way (its in contact with the bit which has the bolt thread in it, for the caliper to screw into) So we packed it out and needless to say, it was rubbing on the outside pad. Anyway a bit of b*****d filing later and it was good. Very very very close fit but a fit none the less so a warning to anyone getting one. You have to run a 160mm mono trial and unless they've changed the design of the hopes, be prepared to fork out for a 180mm rotor Will post some pictures in the bike pictures section today. I sliced my finger open a bit so ive got a large bandage on so no silly drop gaps. also need to bed bb7 in but otherwise all good EDIT: ooop also snapped a tooth off my eno, any suggestions?
-
well i tried the 160 caliper on the 185 disc and it was overkill. meaning i've got to get something inbetween but to be honest, why doesn't it fit normally? why didn't koxx just make it so that standard set-ups would work?
-
honestly weve looked it wont go in anymore the only thing left is to grind the mount away so theres less thread...... but maybe not
-
no? sorry i thought i made that bit clear.... The brake is spongy, and even on its tightest setting in wont hold me on the back wheel
-
Yeah ill get some pictures now adam, its 18:12 the chain is quite new (so will stretch bringing the disc even further out)) EDIT: some pictures here:

as youre probably aware fred savage was kind enough to furnish me with a lovely this lovely new frame. Well heres why you have no pictures of me riding it 80% of the reason i bought it was to run rear disc. So i thought I could just swap bits over from my dual disc megamo over to it... So i plonked my wheel in and it was too narrow. well im sure it was an odd sized hub (bikegas hub) so i bought a brand new one from tarty (monty hub) fits fine however when it comes to the disc the only thing that comes to mind is "wtf" . seriously no joke For a start theres no customisation with the chain length, because at the very back of the dropout the disc (when mounted) does not have 100% contact with the pads, meaning when the brake is applied, the pads form a pyramid shape. The answer is the move the wheel back in the dropout but like I said, thats when the wheel is right at the back. this was using a 160mm mono trial. So i thought maybe im being silly, and besides i much prefer mechanical disc brakes so again, i splashed out on a new avid 185mm BB7 thinking the extra 5mm is what I needed. Again, I was wrong, even after removing some washers to bring the caliper lower, its still about 3-4mm too high, forming this pyramid shape. So as you can imagine im a bit annoyed. I was having a problem with the spacing in the dropout too, but I think I ca sort that anyway, and probably it being a monty hub its too narrow anyway so thats easy to do, but Im still 100% baffled as to what I have to do to solve the pyramid-shape-pad-problem. Obviously the extreme aswer is to get a custom mounting bracket machined, but surely it should be made to make standard disc brakes? so im a bit peeved to be honest. £600 and I still don't have a bike Any answers or suggestions no matter how dodgy/bodgy will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

im sure theres a joke to be had there.... i just wouldnt give them cheek just get away from them as soon as possible. what i cant stand is the way some of them treat me like a chav, and "OI you!" is one of those phrases that winds me up. I ALWAYS ignore that...

well here you go TF. You wanted one big file, you got it: 312mb 28minutes long of 8 days footage DO NOT DOWNLOAD YET, Im only posting this as Im going to bed in a bit http://tv.isg.si/site/filebrowser/partz It should be finished by about 12:45 so please wait until then to avoid disappoitments ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for the video, im not going to do a low quality version as I think that will just ruin the video. The bit rate is 1500kbps which to me is average, I was going to go lower to about 1000-900 but that would just be silly. Besides, youd still have to wait a while for it, why not wait just a bit longer eh? As usual I know most of you dont like arty farty effects so ive kept them to a minimum (comical purposes only ) Footage spans 9 days, 3 hours of tapes (watch the vid) Oh and Ill say it now, Dave, Ali, it wasn't my fault..... Its not just riding, to me this was my holiday so don't be expecting 28 minutes of natural. It was a good experiance and most of it was because of the people, so theres a lot of people in here too, as well as riders. Anyway i could be here for hours but I wont, i need sleep so dont forget to wait, and hope you guys enjoy Keep the comments coming again as always PaRtZ
