I have to do a presentation on an invention, so I've decided to do it on magura brakes because its something I can be enthusiastic about when Im doing it. Now obviously I need pictures but I don't know where to get them from. I've got a magura here, thats fine, what Im after is the technical details + specifications of one. I recall a thread on this a while ago and something linked to a japanese site? (maybe a patent site) where I took the picture below from. Does anyone know the link to the site or anything else useful (other than the homepage....) Also the pictures may have to be uncopyrighted, and i cba going to the effort of emailing a company just for the sake of this presentation so yeah, free please EDIT: Ok at a snag, can someone post up/link a picture of a magura on evolution adapters (magura used on v brake mounts) please? many thanks!

Well id go for a minibus to be honest. Are you taking alot of luggage too or not? because if you are then id DEFINITLY go for a minibus. Also dont forget about licenses. Whats the maximum you're allowed to drive on a normal license? Worth looking into But in all honesty, its just like any car, you can get a damn good and reliable car for £170 (like will arnold managed haha) or pay £1000 for one which blows a gasket in a week. For koxx days I use my loving skoda cos its beauty! That can take 4 people and 4 mods inside the car and then theres room outside too. Maybe a toyota townace or hiace or similar?

i guess you could machine the whole damn thing but as its been said, easier to cast and then finish off not sure how you'd clamp it in a lathe to turn the end bit though unless you had some extra material to clamp it on, and then remove it afterwards meh..

If you're thinking about a bb7 then get it. Id only ever choose a hydraulic brake if i was dead set against cables. So go for the BB7, unless money isn't an issue

In terms of performance, I woud say that a hydraulic disc has a ever so slight advantage over cables. I cant put a reason to it, but near enough every hydraulic I've used was solid as hell all the time. My front bb7 however is exactly the same, i dont think a rhino could budge it, it locks SO well. Just my back one is a bit iffy every so often. So all in all, Id go for cables because they're easy to tinker with, cheaper, and give a very similar performance

Rails are harder than walls though, because your back wheel has to be much more perfect, otherwise you slip off and gap downwards too easily unless you preload and squidge like hell lol. but yeah walls are easier and I thought exactly the same thing when I first started and assumed it was luck.
