  1. Those rimjam backings are supposed to break the 'prongs' off of the cylinders. By drilling it you've voided the warranty. You could have sent it back if it was just a fault in that one cylinder and got a replacement. I think the drilling might make it more prone to the above 'prong' snapping. Sorry dude, but at least you've sorted it for now.
  2. I live on the Isle of Wight and ride pompy quite often (I'm at uni there). There's a few riders about, no idea who's garage you're talking about though.
  3. Where can I buy that frame.......it's pure SEX. Nice bike
  4. Riding wet coping.........are you CRAZY! My ribs still dont forgive me for the last time I tried it.
  5. Looks TINY, standover clearance to the max. Why do Monty put that BUMP in the top tube, I've seen it on one of there mods and thought WHY?
  6. I've cracked 2 frames, both on the welds. Had one re-welded (professionally) and it just cracked again under the new weld. Just remembered I crack a Pashley on the chainstay (not on a weld) and had it welded and it was solid after that, so you might be okay.
  7. I might be interested in yo camera. Does it come in the box with all leads etc? Any pics of it / what it can do?
  8. I prefer watching stock vids to be honest
  9. Can't you leave a comment on ebay, so that he doesn't con anybody else?
  10. Any pics you've uploaded to give me an idea?
  11. aren't they only like 5.1mp? You'll have to excuse me but I'm not too knowledgeable on cameras
  12. It doesn't affect the rim, so it doesn't matter if you're getting new ones or not. I'd say get a new hub though, those rims look fine for the time being.
  13. MandM are always quite cheap, so no need to rush at this sale.
  14. Alreet, basically I need a new digital camera. I want as high a quality as I can for the budget. (Not just picture quality but manufacture quality too) I know some people on here will know of a few place to pick up a bargain.
  15. I will try my ABSOLUTE hardest t hobble along. ....represnting both the isle of wight and the Special Olympics
  16. Chris's profile hub on his mod feels almost identical to my king on a stock. If that helps
  17. dont worry too much, hasn't skipped on me since October. And was only a little skip, to let me know it was cold. lol
  18. GT85 degreases the drive rings, thus shortening life span, they wear out quicker and are more dangerous when they do go. Personal experience, with little lube in I kept going face first at stuff, no using some wierd thin grease type stuff I found in a randomly in my garage it owrks like a charm. Edit: Most of the time
  19. Tell him he's a stupid cock. Trying to sell from the same address, after saying he never recieved it. Just let him know that unfortunately for him you now know where he lives and that you have proof it is your hub he is selling. Also add that you will inform the police and he can expect a visist in the near future. Although you havn't got evidence it's yours (I'm guessing here) it may be enough to scare him into refunding you. Edit: if you have got proof then do go to the police for real.
  20. I may have read your post wrong and to be honest cant be bothered to read it again, BUt did you say you lube your king with wd40 or GT85 or equivalent. If so thats could be yur problem, that stuffs well too thin. Finishline chainlube will do the job (apparently, I havn't tried it myself though) I think Tarty use finishline when they do there service.
  21. I ordered my new helmet from wiggle a couple of weeks ago, bo problems. My voucher code was out of date though, so had to pay full price

    Smoking?

Why would you start smoking all of a sudden? There's no real benefit to it, just curious what made you pick one up. I smoked a cigarette when I was about 14, thought meh, then havn't touched one since. (I only tried it to shut my gf up)
  23. Yes you notice! I remeber going from a Deore to a hope Xc - Was amazing Then back to a deore ( I wanted to die and so did the hub, literally brand new and broken within a week) Then back to a hope XC - amazing Then to a king I noticed the difference everytime. Also I realise that I'm talking about hubs and not Front Freewheels, but it's the same principle.
  24. I may be wrong but if you're using a square taper BB you can get BB's where the non-drive side cup screws to the BB shell(i.e. the driveside) thus eliminating the need for BB threads in your frame.
  25. Evolve - It's on the web to stream somewhere. Do a search on the forum, I remember Tarty putting up a link. It's oldskool as hell, but quality!
