The single speed hub isn't the bmx hub. It's a normal 135mm spacing but with a smaller 'freewheel' (i.e. you cant fit a full cassette on it).

okay, I've got a Netgear wireless router/4 port switch need to connect the modem to the router via ethernet but my modem's a USB free from isp jobby. So my question is any way around the problem without the need for more hardware.

those park tool crank pullers aren't supposed to be used on isis bb's as the bb's have a larger diameter hole, that'll be why it's stuck in there. I use an adapter that came with my bb, but people often use 5p coins. Best bet is get some mole grips and start pulling/turning it out and see if the threads are still okay.

put the crank on the opposite side to what your trying to pull off. That way you have something to hold while you're trying to pry the green bit off.

FYI if you add one of your parents as a 'named driver' the policy is still in your name (so you get your no claims bonus) but just having them on the policy brings the quote down. Also voluntary excess is whatever you want it to be (the higher the excess the lower the premium) however all drivers under the age of 21 (could be 25) have to pay an extra compulsary young drivers excess of £250. So if you had a voluntary excess of £250 you would have to pay £500. (bear in mind you only pay the excess if you have to make a claim. Google to find out the insurance group of any car you're looking at buying, the lower the insurance group the lower the quotes.
