I think it's a widely held belief that only riders as smooth as say Felix Muche (spelling?) can get away with absolutely no music, just bike noises. But for us everyday riders I think brake squeeks are cool, but stoopid loud cars and wind should be muted.

Tank had one and it only ever skipped a handful of times (and that was because the lockringy thing came loose) In the end he only god rid of it because when the lockring came loose it was near impossible to get to (on the inside between the sproket and the bash)

Horse riders do wear helmets, skaters, friut booters SHOULD wear them and people who use mobility carts should stay off the roads. As for pedestrians they spend less time on the roads than cyclists and so aren't at as much of a risk. Plus it may be the drivers fault for running over the person but innocent bystanders or passengers will still be traumatised.

yes compulsary, but only on major roads. You may think it's a matter of personal choice, as it's only you that it affects but think about it. Guy in car hits a cyclist (not wearing helmet) cyclists head goes under car and gets ''squased'' car driver and possibly passengers traumatised by seeing a cyclists head looking like a pancake. ......cyclist with helmet.........head still intact............less traumatism? (if that's a word) my opinion anywho.

I can't really comment on my LBS as I've been good friends wwith the guys who run it for a good 5 years and so never really pay for anything but parts, then again I never use them for servicing, just general ''give me you pump and an 8mm for 2 mins''. Can I just say that this thread is a bit morbid. I'd rather not think about it to be honest, plus if I'm on my deathbed music would be the least of my worries. Pesimistic.....possibly.

There are no words that can express how much I love that bike. Infact I would gladly leave my GF for that bike.

The missus works in a honda/mazda dealers and is good mates with one of the mechanics, so shes persuaded him to take a look at it for free, I dread to think how she persuaded him.
