  2. Probably your problem then mate, chains shouldn't be too tight, on a mod they should have of least a cm worth of play in it, if you over tighten it your just forcing the chain to strech outwards, personally i say you keep the chain and run it slacker, and in a few months get a KMC kool chain, which is solid as fook.
  3. Agreed my Saracen 2 six, with a Hope Ti hub and blackspire chainring was the best bike in the whole wide world.

  5. Im pretty slack about wearing a helmet, if I have one in my car I'll chuck it on, but if im only doing spins and jump boxes and ups i won't bother, only really concoius about wearing one when I gap. Youv'e shown those pictures and stuff but still it doesn't make me think, shit, i must wear a helmet every single time i step on a bike. I fell off my bike got impailed on the bar and nearly died from a ruptured spleen, but have I ever worn any body protection before it or since... no. Its all about knowing yourself, and on the few occassions that i have hit my head i've always had a lid on. Level of riding: Shit
  6. There are places for like £5 on a sunday me thinks.
  7. how the f**k would he know? You live in Southend and speak to all the riders. Its a 40min train, you can do it alone.
  8. BORING *YAWN* Im playing it my ear and if all else fails, camping in parks.
  9. Just wrap ducktape on the inside of your tyre where its buldging. Will only work for so long.
  10. yea thats the bike I was talking about I would say £150 for the bike and £15 postage. Edit: £200 is still a good price, for the few upgrades hes done.

  12. For £200 the best bet you have is looking for a mint condition 2006 T-Pro with dual magura brakes, I sold mine a while back for £150, there really solid starter bikes and a great platform for progressing, just keep an eye out on here and post up if you have a bike in mind and need any advise, as to wether its a good first bike or not, because there are some bikes to stay wayy clear of, eg. the old missions, which had funny headtube sizes, and some of the older stock montys which used funny sized wheels etc.
  13. Try not covering the front brake, so you can let go of the bar a lil more
  14. For that price I would have just got a new one, which had new pawls and springs as well. If I'm not mistaken its about 35 for the core 15 for a lockring and 5 per seal?
  15. Yea ive carryed a mod in my D&E bag and had the wheels just looped over one of the handle bars, which made it a bit sketchy not being able to use most of the front brake, also whenever i leant over the bike fell as well, so it was like riding with a really over enthusiatic passenger, i don't think riding a distance like that is advisable.
  16. Urm a big table top, but as i tucked up my trousers got caught under my saddle so i couldn't stand up, so i was kinda dragged by my crotch while still holding the bars, but i couldn't reach the brake so kinda had to ride it out till i came bumping to a stop before stacking it off the side completly, ok maybe 50m was an exageration but meh.
