Yep I agree with Matt in my experience with all the turbo Diesel's the power band is a low rev so on acceleration change up a gear at the peak power and then lead into the nexts gears. Theres no way I would be going up any slope in a diesel in 4th or 5th gear! You really just gotta rag every gear for all its worth, (by that its totally different to a petrol, revving the nuts off it won't get you anywhere!)

True and True There are 2 main disadvantages of bath bleeds - 1 - Identifying leaks is hard cos' everything so damm wet (although it can make it easyer because the water "spits" away from the non air tight part, but I'll excuse you if you don't notice that) 2- You can accidently put a shit load of air in without realising very easily, I've bled brakes in fountains, swimming pools.... etc, but even in a nice even bath I can f**k up too easily.

Where theres something going on that your not noticing... if the bleed was perfect and the slaves were seized, you wouldnt be able to pull the lever without splitting a hose first....
