Helicoiling is used by engineers because in racing and stuff you dont want to make threads out of aliminum because they'll thread at high speeds? (sorry if im wrong!) and maybe better to just get it welded not for saftey reasons but just so it doesn't get any worse? (maybe :( ) i dont know bout the saftey aspects

Back on topic, it is just novilty stuff but it can help you out of a tight situation, like a truckstand when riding crates i always do a nice long truck satnd till i decide that im balenced enough to go up to back wheel and the crates wont colapse e.t.c.

If not just re-build the wheel obiously a rubbish build what set up is the wheel

Set of 20 steps was going over on my sisters new mountain bike, (i was only like 10) i did the 1st 2 steps pulled the new V brake woo better than U brakes and the back wheel came up an up an locked out all i saw was my head hitting the 7th step and my left knee (which still causes me problens) landing at the bottom taking the whole impact, yes i cried lol like a baby lol
