  1. Definatly i think strictly brakes need re-doing every 6 months but in trials its done more often because the braking is so much more vital
  2. Cheers for the free bleed ian lol well you borrowed my angle grinder fair exchange!!!
  3. Matt your being a nipple yea you keep saying you'll come out on rides and letting us down within minutes of a meet its just not on. an again all youv'e done is made a really unnessacary topic as everyone will say a KMC kool or a Collapse chain there will be a minor discusion and it makes you look silly mate, lanky_rick can hook you up with this stuff even ian he works in a freeking bike shop
  4. Hmmmmm Hyperlink from yesterday think someone on there said bikedock didnt look at it that hard
  5. Spring metal water bad! think it can damage the seal inside the pistons and stuff i didnt like water as even though your brakes lock out because of the viscocity of water it keeps on compressing and you lever blade ends up near your grip which is a git. Use Bently Clutch oil, well nice not spongy and locks like a good'un
  6. ok you said there was only 1 bolt in the picture you see that oval secion of the brake just a bit further up that is where the 2nd bold will go in to your frame. This is there so you can move the brake up and down so it fits with the biggest surface area in contact with the rim. You want a HS33 they are so much better, and no i wouln't bother with braided hosing though many may disagree get a booster that covers the cross ova so you dont stand on it when doing crank spins or catching it, i think that works does on mine
  7. Well looks like he wants you to go for a grind! i go for a grind nice and sharp is important, but running a harder compond pad just wears out the grind so win some loose some
  8. This just sum's up bens style of riding though doesnt it rick!!! Yea look to buy 2nd hand as you always want to upgrade certain aspects of the bike if you buy a purposly spec'ed bike straight away
  9. Simpson

    Crazy Illusion

thats totally pimp yoo always try to beat those things but it never works like think of a tool and a colour * * * * * * * * * Red hammer 92% of people say that or summink, i said green screwdriver
  10. Yea tar is a water repelant so the water just hangs on top of the tar so the brake pad doesnt touch the tar or the rim 1st it compress's a layer of water which just makes your brake do jack shit it is a pain especially when you fall off something or go over the bars! A grind a good pads is you best bet in the water, me and Rick have a £2 rule which is put a £2 between rim and pad when setting up this also ensures that your pads are set up square and wil allow for a small buckle
  11. No ones bitching everyone is discussing which pads would be the best to help someone out! I WAS running ZOO! greens but then added a sharp grind to my rim so didnt hold out too well. Just got the shitty reds back on now with tar runs very nicley my tire slips before the brake but running the tar doesnt help in the wet!
  12. i really didnt like it say this is Danny Way's travel through the air ______________________________________________________ You have _____............................_______...................................______ So its not compleate the fade in's waste time and so you only see half the clip as well and would have been better if you would have actually had it when he LANDED the 61 foot gap across the great wall of china instead of the time he bailed it, its just a bit disrespectfull when the man has thrown himself across an insane gap of a small peice of wood with rubber wheels for our ammusment
  13. I havent herd anything about it dont know if they will ever exisit but someone might have some knolege that they'd like to share....
  14. and most people who ride natural also have 0, +10, +20 BB rise's so in comparision +80 is f**king huge
  15. if your thinking of getting ians vinco and run a set up simialiar i can tell you how it rides, (now you know why im happy to wait outside Mc Donalds while they go inside  ) Its very nice on the back wheel and very easy to get up, hopping with ease you dont have to consetate. The BB rise feels wierd and will be a huge change from a planet X feels like you need a step up stool to get on the it but once boarded it is fine. I dont ride natural but i think its supposed to be 1 of the best available, but id advise you rode a long bike with a higher bb 1st, but ians is nice and in good condition
  16. Unfortunatly for me this rule does not apply damm you!
  17. yea but for that price id prefer a aprilla RS 125 to just "piss" about on would be more fun to smash up me thinks (Y)
  18. Featuring a 70cc 4-stroke engine, Mikuni carburetor, 3 speed manual-automatic transmission, and Domino throttle, human peddle power is no longer a limitation. Stopping comes courtesy of lever operated double-piston Magura 180mm disc brakes on both the front & rear. The 20" wheels are shod with trials tread tires (2" wide front and 2.4" wide rear) and are suspended by Magura forks and rear shock. With an aluminum skid plate, fully enclosed chain guard, pivoting bike peddle size pegs, and unique fuel in frame design, you have never seen anything quite like this before! Hence there being 4 cables coming from the bars (Y) anyhow looks phat but a motorbike would be a lot better i saw this in BIKE magasine a couple of episodes back think they were asking arround the £1700 bracket correct me if im wrong though
  19. Not from experience but the bigger the rotor (sp?) the more power, but less modulation, the smaller the rotor the less power but a less on/off film and more modulation
  20. I love my hope hub, it very rarley skips and when it does a smooths over its mistake as soon as it makes it and has never happened when actually riding trials!
  21. go to Tapes! colours!!! for that added pimp factor if thats what your interested in!
  22. so if a BMX'er is riding street then thats street trials, and if a dirt jumper is riding jumps through the woods thats wood trials? i dont understand the point that you are trying to make i understand that trials can be ridden on many different terains but surley thats trials in the woods, or trials on the stree, or natural trials???
  23. No should be fine id recomend you tried a long bike in genral before buying anything but there isnt much of a corrolation between height and what length bike you ride
  24. So if you ride trials and land on your back wheel having forks will save your frame??? and your talking about street this is a TRIALS FORUM! Just got start a war or some thing will surley save you elbows wrists and other joints so all is good!
  25. Huge spikes into shin! ouchies! but ive got a pair of shins helmet its just another thing wearing them geting out of the house is like a le mans style run so....... up to you good in intention though
