Bleed Question....
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com replied to downhill_rob2@hotmail.com's topic in Trials Chat
Thats the thing, i had an AMAZING water bleed like last week, but with the soring temperatures this week, the pistons have dried out. I thought it might have been the fluid, but the il iv used is doing the same. Mark is telling me how to lube the pistons on msn now bully. :$ :$ idiot. -
Bleed Question....
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com replied to downhill_rob2@hotmail.com's topic in Trials Chat
does this actually work? First time iv heard of this option Wouldnt it be all lumpy? Just bled it with the Mobil, but its SLOW as f**k lol. I did have a water bleed, but with the heat, the pistons cept getting stuck out at the caliper, and stuck in at the lever... Might try the water + vasaline.... (if it does work...) -
Hi people, i took my bike out of the shed again this morning, and the same problem accured as yesterday... So i have came to the conclusion to bleed it with oil just for now, just so i can actually ride my bike... But i dont have any blood/suspension fluid, but what i do have is, "Mobil ATF 220 Dexron-II Automatic Transmission fluid". My dad says this is the same as the citroen suspention fluid, as he uses it in his suspention on his Citroen. Is it actually mineral oil? would i be able to use this to bleed it just for now? It doesnt say on the pot that itsnt mineral oil, or synthetic... Could someone please tell me? i need to bleed today!

Whats The Weight Of Your Bike?
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com replied to Egg Fried Rice's topic in Trials Chat
9.8kg the last weigh in... (on fish weighing scales [sorta thing] at my LBS) MY bike does feel REAL light, but no where as near as light as my mates GU -
It might have. Try firing some water on the brake, and see what happens It should solve it You should try keeping it in a cool place (or the front wheel/brake in a cool place... if needed... My brakes have been poo aswell since its VERY hot!!

Abit Of Brake Trouble...
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com replied to downhill_rob2@hotmail.com's topic in Trials Chat
Yeah, i thought it could be the heat, its done it before, but not asmuch as this time.... its really bad, so im going to take the piston out of the lever (or try, if i know how to do it ) and then grease it up, and then rebleed it... But im going to try a new bleed before i go taking my brake apart, to see if its the bleed thats the problem... -
Hi people, took my bike out of my shed this morning, brake was crap, so i took the brake off, and sanded pads down and ave rim a nice new grind... Then when i was setting brake back up, the pistons at the calipers were out (asin TPA was on quite abit) so i made sure the TPA was fully off, and the pistons were still out the piston in the lever was stuck in though So i got my bleed kit, and took the bleed bolt from the caliper off, and whacked the syringe on the end, and forced water in, it poper the piston back out at the lever... I thought it was ok, then i pulled the lever, and the pistons at the calipers were stuck out again and at the lever the piston was stuck in again BTW, i was doing this in really hot weather, in the sun, so might the water have been too hot? Im trying to cool the brake down and give it a new bleed soon... But does anyone what what might be wrong?

They aint all that good... yeah they have amazing lock, but they tend to slip when backwheeling a wall... Dan, get some nice bloox reds Im having troubles with the greens myself! They were amazing the first day i get em, then i got a f**king puncture and then had to take wheel out to fix it, put it back on and the brake was shit, has been since that day i hate f**king punctures!!!!! -

Could This Be Someones Stolen Bike?
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com replied to lego's topic in Trials Chat
It means, a "sigh" type sound, round here (when your complaining... but in a sarcatic way) Looks very stolen -
A trials bike isnt meant to feel like a BMX... The spec of the stem you have will be the right specific stem for your TRIALS BIKE. If it rides nice as it is (on the back wheel, pulling up to back wheel ect) then dont change the stem
-
gawd damn thats a short bike P.S, you could get a better bike

Front Brake Over Heated...
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com replied to downhill_rob2@hotmail.com's topic in Chit Chat
I would be VERY suprised if an airline poped these pistons out... We used 2 crow bars (2 foot long each) to pop then back in... and we still had trouble doing it...
