  1. Absolutley talk to the admissions people. Don't beg, just make your case on the phone, and calmly ask if they would give you a second interview. If they say no, you've lost nothing. Don't ask, don't get.
  2. Bingo. Your user details, your responsibility. Think about this during your 24 hour ban.
  3. You mean people do t-shirts where you have to be in on the reference to understand it? Whatever next!
  4. http://www.spokeshirts.co.uk/product.php?p...at=0&page=1 Oh yes, people are now doing Danny Macaskill t-shirts!
  5. If I were you, I'd find out a bit more about the bits on your bike. If you've got cheap headset, BB and hubs with loose bearings, then you can do a full strip and rebuild. The chances are a lot of the bits on your bike are cartridge bearings which you can't really do a lot with. Your BB is likely to be a sealed cartridge or sealed bearings. Make sure the cups and cranks are tight, otherwise there's nothing you can do. Same with the hubs, they're cartridge bearings. If there's no play in the bearings, there's not really a lot you can do to maintain them. From what you've said, it'd be worth giving the chain a good clean and lube (I second Muc-Off!), and carefully pull the freehub off to clean and check it's all OK (instructions should be on the Hope site), but for the most part, if it ain't broken, don't fix it. If it's all working, then you might introduce a problem by mucking about with your bike. As long as everything's tight and free of play, you're fine.
  6. There is already a mahooosive thread here with 23 pages (and counting) of comments... And why arn't I suprised Dave missed it completely?
  7. It's as of RIGHT NOW, the #1 Most Shared story on the whole of the BBC News Website. One of the biggest news websites in the world. Danny Mac - trials rider and one of the nicest blokes you could meet - is featured on the front page, and the story has been shared more than the budget or anything else. Wow. This proves how much scope there is for this to go stratospheric, and get Inspired/Tarty/Trials as a whole so much more coverage. Let's all make the most of this, and go out and show people how strong the trials community is in the UK. Big congrats to both Danny and Dave, so well deserved!
  8. And second most shared story on the site!
  9. At least one news agency has picked it up, but it's amazing how small news papers feed larger ones. Plus once it gets into the Metro or similar, it'll spread quickly. Is still awesome though!
  10. I do love errors in news stories... According to the Scotsman, the film is called inspired bicycles...
  11. Apparently this video was on Breakfast TV this morning in Toronto! The Internet is a weird and wonderful thing...
  12. Errr, I think this has been given a lot of credit over the past 16 pages... Plus there have been good videos before, from Nick G, Jonny Jones, Reed Merchat, etc... It's a little OTT to say that there's never been a good video before.
  13. And now WIRED magazine! You know things are interesting when Conde Nast publishing are getting into trials
  14. Danny Mac was in the Metro today! There was a mention in the paper, and a link to the Metro website with it. Where else have you seen the video? It is (was) on the Singletrackworld.com editor's blog, and on matchvideozine.com... Oh, a link from one of the Pistonheads forums...
  15. That's the OBM™ seal of approval right there... NOTE The Vimeo link has moved, and is now HERE!
  16. It looks like it's been deleted off Vimeo! This has broken it on Singletrackworld.com and matchvideozine.com at least... What's happened?
  17. 20 hours, 200 replies. It's a phenomonen.
  18. That is my hope, that people will try to match what Danny does (in content, in style) and slowly the sport will catch up with him. It's the way of sports like ours. The first person to flip an MX bike, or pull a 900 on a skateboard, was a massive thing, but now it's relatively common. When things stagnate, there's always someone doing something off the radar that bursts through. Trials Kings, Vincent Hermance, Danny Mac.
  19. My one hope with that video is that it inspires people. What makes the video isn't just the huge moves (as impressive as they are) but the vision to see lines, the way different tricks are linked up. It's not about inches, how high, how far, it's about style and imagination. If riders - both street and natural - looked at this video and tried to get into that mindset, then trials would be a much, much more varied place. Forget simple TGS, think Danny Mac, Chris Akrigg, Rowan Johns. See lines and try the impossible.
  20. Cool! It's nice seeing old articles like that... God I look rubbish
  21. I did record them all onto DVD when Challenge was repeating them way back when... Will have to see if I can find some way of getting them onto that Internet. BTW, does anyone have the Radical Highs episode? I do have some scans somewhere too of the MBUK feature on Under Pressure too, and one of the few times I got my mug in the mag
  22. Honestly... You've got a shed there. Yep, It's a Baraccuda frame (which people bought because they were cheap), Planet X BMF rims (rebranded Alex DX-32). Worn El Gato tyres, red HS33s (not the more collectable yellow Raceline ones), and a half polished mech which could be anything. Similarly the forks could be On-One or Planet X Knifens. The hubs are the probably the most valuable bits. They're Hope Sports (assuming the rear matches the front) which might get 40 quid for the pair as they're splined fittings not modern six bolt ones. Now, if you had George's Pashley (or car...) then it'd be a different story.
  23. Is it me, or is the first one a bit warm? BTW, where's that riding??
  24. More Orange Zero goodness here.
  25. Ummm, you do know the pub landlord is just a character Al Murray does? When he talks like that, he's not actually stating opinions, but making fun of those who do... Bernard Manning (may he rest in the firey pits of damnation, with a scrotum full of wasps) and Roy Chubby Brown however, are the most pugnacious, repulsive, morally f**ked 'comedians' out there. There is no justification for their continued careers or reputation, and the world would be a wonderfully lovely place if people who like those comedians died. Oh, and those who don't get the irony of the Pub Landlord, get rid of them too.
