me and mr fred shall be setting of next wednesday 12th to start our roadtrip, we will be riding - reading 12th july bristol 13th july porthcawl 14th july thats the loose schedule, possible stay longer in places if we want to ride more etc it would be wicked if people want to come out for a ride and can show us around as we've never been to bristol or porthcawl pete

god knows why no one has replied yet, loving the super 8 almost makes the film look like its a memory. would have been cool to see some more riding though as it looked like a good day

so is it best to learn on the smallest wall possible first just to get the 'feel' for the technique? can hooks be learnt on vertical walls from scratch or shall i go find a small sloped wall first?

front hooks are puzzeling me greatly! basically ive been trying them on a sea wall which isnt quite vertical, its about 4.5/5ft which i surpose is just about the right height for learning? i can hook my front wheel over no problem but i really cant seem to carry my momentum through to move my bike up anywhere near the top! i know its my technique thats stopping me but i just need to know whats the right way to go about it. do i leave my back brake off? does the rear wheel need to hit the wall before the front hooks the top? where should my body weight be when i first hook the wall and how do i push through to flick the bike up? any help welcome please!
