  4. they start with white because theyre white ciders.look at it next time compared to say Strongbow or Old english... Oh Davey Davey i appear to have crashed, and in doing so,completely skinned my elbod, including the fluro green and yellow spider web tatt i have on it.anything i can do? Carl
  5. was a good ride, one of the few times ive been out properly in ages, although the day mostly consisted of me and ash thinkin about what bicycle items could be used disgracefully on women.... Carl
  6. just out of interest, what length/rise stem is that?ive got an a2 aswell, and i was wonderin about gettin a new stem. looks tasty too, although i kinda like the gold Carl
  7. for those who are asking about the abingdon ride, last time i spoke to sue and charlie, they are planning to go ahead with it,but nothing was finalised.im pretty sure its 3rd of June every year,as that was the date of Deej's funeral (99% sure anyways).i need to go round and visit them soon anyways,so ill ask one of them to either post,or let me know and ill post it up. as for this ride, ill try to come along with dan and iley Carl
  8. im pretty sure ive seen a phone box in oxford with spikes around the top of it,but only on the edge, not all in the center.and i doubt you'd get a lot for suing (sp?) i tried it with reading county council after i tripped over a loose slab, and one of the flints on the edge of the concrete bins at the hexagon sliced my hand open, they just ignored me,then eventually told me that they couldnt be held responsible for my actions Carl
  9. i get confused with the moto gp team, last year they said the carbon brakes werent grabby at all when cold, infact they were pretty poor, until they heated up,then they worked great, and worked at their optimum around mid race, which was when the temperature was ideal for them.bloody confusing they are! by the way,who enjoyed Vale's showmanship at the end with his fanclub as bowling pins?that guy is pure class.i remember an interview with him a while ago :"Valentino, why do you live in London?why not Spain or Italy?" he replied with "the girls are better looking in London, and the beer isn't week as shite!" 4 weeks till the next round! Carl
  10. cheers Ali,ill give it ago when my paycheck comes through Carl
  11. right,i have an adamant A2,and im wondering what stem to run,cos it feels really low,i currently have 100mm by 5 degree rise, with adamant bars (same as the zoo ones) im thinkin bout moving the bar position to see if that helps, but if not, what sort of rise stem am i lookin at? im not used to these low bikes...i came straight off a 0bb rise street setup to one of these new fangled things. it rides nice, but i just cant bunnyhop it yet,and i kinda wanna be able to...just a little Carl
  12. Mine has to be Motley Crue or L.A. Guns 80's sleaze rock played how it was intended to be by two of the most foul mouthed and debaucherous bands in the history of music.its only rock an roll, but i like it. Carl
  13. im sure we'd travel from oxford.not sure how far it is,but were always up for a bit of a road trip. keep us posted Carl
  14. ive got some cool stuff on my ipod, but i dont know the track names,my friend made a compilation cd for me.loads of psytrance on it too,and gabba.i'll try find the song/artist name for you. Carl
  15. not sure on directions yet,we still havent been given any either... and we dont even know where canterbury is!near kent is all we know its a student bar,so im guessin it'll be somewhere near the uni? age restrictions dont apply.well, they do,cos you wont be able to drink if your under age, but, you can come in an watch.if anyone says anything, tell them to get Andy Brogan, and explain to him your from t-f .ive told him to expect you. remember, were on at 1pm,so try get there just before if you wanna see us,weve only got a short set you see!! were putting some live recordings up on our myspace on wednesday, myspace.com/pistolkixx cheers. Carl
  16. I used to race mx against Kurt before he rode trials...flippin quick! i think it was bike '04 where i spoke to him for the first time in years,we had a good natter about mx,and some of the tracks we loved to race. anyways...Ian Cooper, whats he up to? Carl
  17. i dont think theres an age restriction for just watchin, not too sure really,i'll check!ill be absolutly twatted by the time we get to go on...which'll be 1pm i think... we've got a huge journey to take to get there...like 4 hours or summin Carl
  18. right, anyone near kent,Particularly canterbury, theres a gig on saturday 17th march at the K bar in canterbury.its a student bar,so the gig is free to get in.it starts at 12 midday, and finishes at 1am.cheap drinks and free live music,plus...my band are playing.unfortunatly due to others pulling out, were now 1st on,but hey, itll be a fun day!just thought id let you all know.its not one genre of music either, theres rock/funk/metal etc so it should be a fun event! Carl
  19. Peep Show kinda glam/sleaze rock.sounds awesome though, unlike towers of shite. Carl
  20. looks nice mate, itd look better in a light peppermint green colour though how're the cranks holdin up? wont be out sunday,my bash still aint here bloody royal mail...got your disc yet? Carl
  21. i like your posts, they always seem pretty informative anyways,i ride with back-left,front-right,cos i grew up racing motocross, and you cant very well have the clutch on the right you se,it just wouldnt work, unless the throttle was on the left, which could all get complicated... but anyways, thats why i ride like that. Carl
  22. the rim will be fine,as someone else said, just put a light grind on it,it'll be fine.as for the headset, change the bearings,re-grease it all,and maybe fit a star-fangled nut, also, check the headset is fully pressed into the frame maybe?it could be at a slight angle? as for re-placement bearings,im not sure whats best, but i know Marin bearings are strong,as when i used to race the bymx motocross series,we all used the marin mtb bearings in the headset of the kx 60's,as they were stronger than the original bearings.im sure if they can handle moto-x abuse, they'll be fine in mtb headsets? Carl
  23. i was in a similar position recently, some guy from another band was reading through my lyrics folder, and found a set of lyrics that my band hadnt made into a song, because we just hadnt got the right riff, this guy asked if he could use them for his band, and when i said no,he replied with "but you arent using them!why cant i?" my response was "shit off" because, not blowing my own trumpet, but theyre good lyrics, just because we hadnt used them yet, doesnt mean we wouldnt.and besides, theyre personal, and they are what helps define the bands style.I think your being completely reasonable.if he wants to be any kind of a DJ,surely he should find his own style.fair play to you Carl
  24. shit a duck!i never thought id see that picture again!hahah mental, and cheers for correcting me they dont look as bad as i remembered them! Carl
  25. i remember the Starbike/brake hydro vee things.didnt jj gregorowizc (sp?) runone on the front for a while?back in the day?and did anyone in the uk actually have any?if memory serves me correctly, they were orange were they not? Carl
