  1. Have you just seen it on CRC for £20 too ey? haha, Does anybody have a weight and a picture as I'm fancying one too if they are the same construction yet lighter, maybe even on the rear Kieron
  2. They only come with two pawls, when i had a budget, i used to service my shimano hub weekly so it would'nt slip, and it only had two, until i drilled and filed a third one in, it died a week later though. Good hubs if you wanna take it apart more than it's together and would rather walk than ride
  3. Sanding, fileing or lots of caustic soda. or wirewool obviously, anything that scores the surface of the material.
  4. It does look alot like the Heatsink Sidehop frame to me.
  5. I say dont bother with either and get some decent pads, I ran Heatsink reds in the winter on a smooth rim and they were great.
  6. Haha, was gunna post a topic about them the other day, what is the crack? I wanna know too.
  7. On topic, that's how my FSA is, off topic, Try the Onza one on Tarty maybe?
  8. Looks a lil' bit minus to me, which is funny as i have Ashton's and Mine has abit of rise, oh well, probably due to the eggs of wheels I have.
  9. Caustic soda is nasty stuff, wear a mask, I used it to do rims, it takes a while to start working but it leaves a lovely finish. If your in a hurry, mix it strong but rinse it as soon as the colour goes, will work well, afterwards, polish with autosol till it's gleaming then laquer over with decent stuff from like, Hellfrauds or something.
  10. Barracuda ghetto, stupidly short but now I think, It was'nt that bad...Still, it doesn't compare to the T-Rex.
  11. How old are you 10(or younger) ~ 11-16 ~ 17-25 ~ 26 (or older) How many bikes do you own (not just trial bikes) 1 ~ 2 ~ 3 ~ 4 ~ 5 ~ 6(or more) Have you ever had a bike stolen? Yes ~ No If yes how many bikes have you had stolen? 1 ~ 2 ~ 3 ~ 4 ~ 5(or more) Do you live an area where theft is an issue? Yes ~ No Do you own a bikelock, and do you think that it provides adequate protection? Yes ~ No
  12. I'm on the job haha, if I don't go out tomorrow night then i'll do it then, I'm also gonna do basic things like how to remove the BB, headset etc... Come to think of it, I think I should be given a bike maintainence/fix sorat mini forum, would be kind, anyway, I'll get to work on some more of these first, I think I'll do a wheel building one because that is asked quite regular... Thanks for the support everyone, and to Backgren, i missed that out because I did'nt have a simple way to explain that would'nt make people confused or worry when their bike was in bits...
  13. Because it was embarresed when I told it that it was going to be used to demonstrate, and because the ratchet ring was kinda screwed in the silver shell. Edit: Also can this be moved to FAQ please...
  14. Right, due to my problems with fixing parts years back I'm going to start a lil faq series showing how to over come trials ''problems.'' How to replace a Hope XC/Mono Axle.... 1). Remove wheel from bike and remove skewer.. 2). Remove cassette Lockring and cog/spacers/cassete(I only removed end spacers as my cog is jammed on. 3). Remove the end cap from axle, use a flat bladed screw driver for easeing. 4). Pull freehub body off carefully, pawls and springs will possibly go everywhere here so keep eyes peeled. 5). Remove cassette washer and put in a safe place, you need this. 6). Remove green/black seal with flat headed screwdriver then tip out remaining pawls and springs, again, don't loose them. 7). Get very very large hammer and knock axle out, it needs abit of welly to get the bearings out. 8). This is what your axle should look like, if it is'nt snapped. 9). Remove the bearing from your old axle. 10). Place new axle into hub the correct way round with the long skinny bit pointing out the drive side. 11). Put new bearing ontop of axle and replace end cap(make sure you put the correct end cap on. 12). Use silver end cap from drive side to space out over the axle and hammer away until you think it is fully in, it should'nt really damage it if you hammer too much. 13). Replace all pawls and springs into the cassette block and put the large metal spacer i said to keep aside into the middle of the hub. 14). Use the green/black seal to hold pawls and springs in place whilst you replace the freehub body back into shell. 15). This is what it should look like when you have put the freehub body on. 16). Replace the end cap and push down firmly. 17). Refit all cogs/spacers/cassette and lock ring. You're done now I hope this helps, let me know what you think and like i say, i'll kepp making them for all your problems. Thanks, Kieron
  15. I'm 15 and just starting to go out etc, what drinks do you guys recommend, beer/lager seems to be the choice but in my opinion, it's nasty stuff after two mouthfuls. I find blue WKD is possibly the sexiest drink, any suggestions for me to try?
  16. Welcome back to the sport mate, hope you enjoy it. I agree with what Club_card said more or less.
  17. Sorry to reply with no opinion to the thread but no Poopipe, you are not the owner of the worlds loudest disc brake, that would be Jono (Street Trials Rider on here), his is deafening(SP?).
  18. Trials rapes your body, I write this with a dodgey wrist, it's been hurting for a week now whenever I brace it or twist it round. If your worried abotu your health I suggest you live in a very soft bed all your life and live off pure oxygen.
  19. Bike: Chrome T-Rex What: Strong rear rim, Invincible Brake pads. Why? Because I egg rims like anything even though i'm super smooth (not very very but smoother than all my mates) and I burn through pads like a set every 3 weeks.
  20. I think i'm going to have to get a pair when I have the money, just for the pimpness. Go for it.
  21. But if he did'nt buy the tar and just nicked it then... I know what you mean though, for a shifty person though, there is money to be made from lazy people.
  22. Where did you all get yor kits from? I don't have money to blow but I would rather do it myself and learn etc, Thanks, Kieron
  23. Thanks anyway, Damn slackers!
  24. I really need to send some cash and it's goin via recorded delivery so i need to know if the post office is open to save me the 3 1/2 mile trek to find it's shut.
  25. Consider this a free bump. I just watched the Vinco one, some nice riding there, some nice camera action too
