Anyone on here interested in a set of 10" Wellers? 2 are 10x5, 2 are 10x6. Yokohamas on the 6s, and Falkens on the 5s. Both have around 4mm tread, slight camber wear on the Yokohamas. Want rid of them now, taking up space in the garage. Also have 2 doors, which are good condition! Starting to show signs of rust a tiny bit on the bottom of one of them, not bad at all though. I'll get pictures for anyone who's interested! Offer me.

Tartybikes do price match...

Are post's in Chit-Chat included? I think most of our post counts would be a lot higher if it was...

Yeah, the boot in my A4 estate isn't all that to be honest. Still got 4 bikes and 4 people in the car at a squeeze though... With the back seats down there's plenty of room! Keep in mind that mine is the B5 platform, which is a few behind the current model's if that's what you're looking for? Not sure how different in size the new ones are! Just get an old Volvo estate.

That Corsa sounds f**ked!

Cheers for the comments guys! Tom - I'd happily roll your arches for you, or lend you the tool to have a go yourself! As long as you keep the paint soft with a heat gun, and just go easy with it, it's simple! I had to cut off bits of inner arch to get better clearance, but that's because of the amount of poke my rears have! Mine still scrubs with a bit of weight in the back, which is annoying. Might look into getting stiffer springs on the rear, but I'm not sure where to begin looking! Did a big scarey job on mine today! It kept going into limp mode if I went over 2800rpm, but if I switched it off and on again, it'd be ok again. Vag-Com'd it, and got the expected error code relating to sticky turbo vanes! So as the turbo was spooling up, the vanes were opening and getting stuck open, so instead of it over-boosting and causing damage, it would just shut off the turbo and feel like a N/A 1.0l! So I took the turbo off, got it apart to find lots of horrible black soot and gunk inside. De-greased it and cleaned it all up and got it shiney and new looking! Then got it back together, and fitted. Now it's so nice! Revs up freely, pulls really well, and no sign of it going back into limp mode! I made it sound like a simple job, but it took ages! Did it all on my mate's driveway with limited tool access. Dropped so many spanners, bolts, swear words. Cut my finger and got blood everywhere too! So glad it made a difference though! Successful jobs are the best ones.

Bought this: Did this: 235/40R17s on the rear. Result: Stance is 90% done! Just need to get a bit of camber on the rears to tuck them in a bit more to lose the last bit of scrubbing. Got a fun job coming up at the weekend! Got the common 17965 fault code, which is a boost presure problem causing it to go into limp mode. I've narrowed it down to the turbo vanes getting stuck open, causing it shut off the turbo and limp instead of over-boosting. Which means turbo off, strip it down, clean all the soot and crap from the insides and make it shiney, then put it back together and on again! Wish me luck! I'm scared.

Looks good Tom! Just rolled/flared my rear arches out to stop them scrubbing so much! Bought the kit off eBay and did it myself. Not hard to do at all! I'll get some pictures later.

The front coilovers have maybe 5 threads left, but the subframe scrapes and sparks on flat looking roads! Haha. I'm going to work on the rear end to get it down when the money comes along. Get the arches flared, bit of camber, and a lower profile tyre should sort it!

Mind if I join in? Was on the same ride! Rockman friends!

This is why us senior's rarely ride. Good to see some of the old members getting back into it again! You never really stop riding trials...

I've not tried to remove them to be honest Tom! Scared that they wont be and i'll snap one off.

Quite like that Polo! Sure I recognise it from somewhere... There's a car show on about 10miles from where I live tomorrow, DC12. Big VAG show... Put my wide wheels back on the Audi for the show n shine Genuine fake BBS'.

George - The Hankook's are a nice tyre! Grippy and fairly hard wearing. The Uniroyals are more of a wet-weather tyre, so they're much softer. I've had Dunlops before and been very impressed with them too, but that's on my 90bhp Audi estate, not a 300mph whatever-you-have! Out of the ones you listed, I'd go for the Hankook's at the top of the list. But that's just my preference on them...

Please get some decent tyres on that Clio! And get those horrible knock-on balance weights taken off when you do.

Couple of us went over to Daventry for the day to have a chilled ride.

Flip fronts are a pain to make fit properly! Not really worth it.
