  1. After a quick debate on msn, Muel claims that he meant the same as me, he just didn't say it... It sounded like he was saying Hammond did it to stop the air cooling the engine? Atleast I read it that way.. anyway, that salt place looks fun.
  2. Who reckons it'll be a drug den by next week? Fair play though, we don't have anything like that around here...
  3. He didn't do it to stop the air going in though...
  4. That one was way better than last weeks! His apology was awesome! haha. Them holding up traffic on the bridge, setting the alarms off, and 'not being entertaining'... epic. Muel - The tape wasn't to stop air going in, it was to make the car more aerodynamic. A big hole at the front would cause a lot of drag, despite it actually keeping the engine cool.
  5. I've noticed that. No one wants to swap their 24 for my Zona.
  6. Can you not set it up so the chain sits on top of the jockey wheel? Would mean the chain is wrapped around the cog more giving it less chance of skipping. Good idea though! If not a bit bodge-tastic..
  7. Have you serviced it from new? They come with grease in them to help bed everything in, but now it's letting the pawls slip about, instead of letting them lock into place. It's easy to do, just take of the lockring, give everything a good clean with some GT85 and some tissue. Don't worry about bearings going everywhere as they're sealed. Just clean all the grease out, and make sure there isn't any other crap in there, and just do it all back up. Will be fine after.
  8. TheCircus is funny though... atleast, I like him..
  9. Is he ever coming back to the forum? I used to like reading his posts..
  10. Have you got an image of the pink bunny that I could use?
  11. They probably won't be happy until they fight you back, and win. Either that, or they'll find someone new to get beaten up by, and go after them instead.
  12. Applied for a job as a composite laminator at a place in the industrial estate, Delta Composites. My mate does the same at a different place, and he loves it! Making carbon fibre parts for racing cars.
  13. RJD2 - Ghostwriter. Such a good song!
  14. Ah brilliant news! Hope it all goes to plan.
  15. Was the nail rusty/dirty at all? The pain would be normal, seeing as you basically got stabbed in the foot... If you're really worried about it, go to the doctors about it. Probably better than asking us lot anyway.
  16. I don't think I'd be a very good life guard... I can't swim.
  17. Get some Try-All brake clamps. They make sure your brake is definately on the rim square. I took my booster off after fitting mine because the brake felt really solid without it. Bike looks rather nice too!
  18. Check fatty out and the maths skills!
  19. True. To be honest, I didn't pay attention when I quit my last job. All I had in my head was that I didn't want to work there again, for the reasons I've already mentioned. I handed an application form in at Tesco's earlier. I'm desperate...
  20. I did that when I was job hunting first time round before working at Just Tyres. I left my CV with a lot of places, and asked if they could contact me if any job vacancies to come up. Funnily enough I heard nothing since. I might try that tomorrow though... I did gain slight interest in the car tyre fitting, and started to get some pretty good knowledge on it. What put me off though was my boss. The only person I worked with, and he pissed me off every day. Ripping people off without a care. I even said to him i'd leave if he carried on, and he did, so I left. I didn't think it'd be this hard to find one! I really don't think i'd enjoy an office job, seeing as it'd just be more sitting around. Although at the moment i'll take anything just to get an income again...
  21. I used to work for Just Tyres, as a tyre fitter, but left because I ended up hating the job. My boss was constantley overpricing customers because 'he needed to' because the depot wasn't making enough money. Everyone who worked for the company seemed to do this, rip people off. I didn't want to be a part of it. There was never any customers there, nothing to do at all. Just sit in my car listening to music... I'm not the kind of person to be sitting around all day, and be happy. I'm more of an active person... I've looked on job search websites, Jobsite, Fish4Jobs, etc, but they're all useless. It just comes up with management jobs, even though I typed in that I didn't want to be a manager. It also showed me a few accountant jobs, even though I never put anything about me being good at figures, which I'm not. I haven't got to that point in life where I know exactly what I want to do. I never had that dream when I was young... I've basically just been going through and seeing what happens. Now i'm stuck. Basically, I just need some ideas for what I could do. I applied at Evans in MK, but I'm yet to hear from them..which I take as a 'no'. What do you do? How did you come about getting the job? I don't have much experiance with anything, other than car tyre fitting, and working part-time in Halfords Bikehut for 2years. I'm good with bikes, but I've already tried the LBS, and it didn't happen. Help?
