Square taper or ISIS? Either way, try taking both cranks off and giving the BB axle and crank tapers a good clean. Sometimes dirt can get into it, and crunches up and makes weird sounds when you pedal. If it's not that, could be a rounded taper (if it's square taper) or damaged bearings on the BB.

Not a bad idea, but most trials forks (Echos do...) have a weld around the bottom so the starnut won't be able to come out without it getting mangled!

Rah rah rah...christmas moaning. Started off alright, finally got to sleep at 3am after my mum and sister decided to shut up and go to bed. Got woken up at 7 cos my sister was up and being immature and noisey (she's 20...) So I went down for christmasy family present giving time. Which was really good! Then i went back to sleep, until 12ish... to go downstairs and Mark's here. Mark is basically some 40something year old loser who is 'going out' with my sister, or whatever. It's actually pretty sick, 20 something age gap. They both know that me and mum hate them together, but he takes the piss by asking to come round for christmas! Was alright at first, just ate dinner, sat down and chilled out, then they both start getting all cosey and cuddly on the sofa, which soon got to me, so I came upstairs to chill out for a bit. Went back down and lasted 5 minutes before I got fired up and had to walk off again. I can't see how mum can just sit and bare it! So yeah, that's kinda ruined the day for me. Seeing as it's one of few times we're as a family, and actually sit and have a meal etc, just didn't seem like family time? Probably spend tomorrow eating and working on the Mini some more.

They're M6... M5 are Magura bolt size, which are usually too small for top caps!

I didn't mean to sound so narrow-minded, I had to sit there and think wether to post that or not, knowing that it'd cause arguements! I was just stating my opinion. I myself can't see how spraying some letters on a wall is fun? Obviously I know others do, and I can respect true graffiti artists for their work, but people who just go about 'tagging' scribbling their names or whatever on bus shelters and shop walls, I just don't get it? I said 'unless you can top Banksy' as a joke, I thought atleast one of you would get that! I even put a ' ' I still stick with what I said about if you had permission, because going aboout spraying on peoples walls is a bit worse than a tyre mark on it. Obviously bashing it is different, but that's usually an accident. Yes, trials is stupid and pointless, but I find it fun, plus it gives me something to do which isn't illegal! Wow, I never thought I'd have to write so much just to explain some little jokey comment on here! I'll just not state my opinion in future. Post up whatever graffiti you like! I was only saying it to try and make you think 'actually, I'd rather stay anonymous about that!' I'm sure you stay very discreet when you spray on a wall, so surely it'd be best not to let the public know who did it on the internet?

Only problems I've had with mine is the bearings breaking every so often, but that costs me £5 to fix thanks to a local bearing manufacturer.

Who's gunna let their kid try to eat their bike though? Most kids that'll try to do that would be young enough to need supervision, before they come a complete pain in the ass and get left to do whatever. EDIT: Hang on, most of our bikes are just polished aluminium anyway, why does it matter?

I'm not actually religious, but I celebrate christmas anyway? You get presents and nice food and stuff, so why not?
