  1. You'll want it back in the summer.
  2. Remove some spacers between the caliper and the mount.
  3. If you can't simply pop the washer off the end, keep the bolts in the hub, and gently tap the non-drive side with a mallet. This should pop the whole axle out. Then lightly clamp the driver in a vice, and tap the other bolt to push the axle off. Now you have the driver free! You should still have the hub bearing, and a very thin washer in place... Slot the axle back though, with the bearing in place. You cab slide a socket onto the bearing to tap it in place, or what I do is remove the pawls and springs from the driver, slot that over the bearing, and use that to tap the bearing in place. That thin washer between the driver and hub bearing is very important! Don't lose it. You should now be ready fo your 9t driver. if you have any problems, i'll be taking mine apart soon, so I can get pics of how it's done.
  4. Vauxhall Sapphire Black... according to Google.
  5. I can't sleep! You lot better welcome me back to my own thread!
  6. Your bearings have probably had it. All you can really do is take it apart and have a look inside!
  7. All this talk of how strong they are, and my shell split in two tonight! It was cracked for a long time, but I didn't think much of it, then it went BANG Oh well, I haven't looked inside it yet! but it sounds fine, then you go to pedal and it just does nothing.
  8. Wheel building is a pretty hard process, especially if you're new to it all. I'm guessing you are as you had to ask us in the first place. Do look at some wheel building guides though, and give it a go yourself, there's a recent thread somewhere with a video for it...
  9. I have put some finishline oil in it from time to time, but most of the time it is dry, and it's never done me any harm...yet.

    Riding

You just need to get back into it, I've only just started again recently, and it was just my bike that fet weird to me!
  11. I've only really killed bearings in mine, but I keep buying cheap ones for it...
  12. Mine's been dry for years, not a problem!
  13. My mate has one on his 24", seems alright?
  14. Been followed by the police before, never pulled though as of yet! I dropped a mate off after a night out, I wasn't drinking as I was driving. As soon as I got through town I spotted the police behind me! Followed me all through a housing estate, and round the ring road, then they shot off towards Milton Keynes! Then I had some fun on the b roads back to home. Suprised I haven't been stopped yet for 'not wearing a seatbelt' because of my harness...
  15. I like it. Horizontal dropouts, built in tensioner, clean looking bash idea - I don't see how you'd still hit the freewheel? It's all good! 1090mm is a bit barge-like though isn't it? Says me with my 1045mm Zona.
  16. I have the Try-All mounts where you don't need those plastic clip things for the cylinders. Brake set up has never been so easy! I'm just lucky that my mounts are square, so my pads land flat on the rim.
  17. Me and my mates were on about an Oxford ride soon, I'll show them this topic and see what they think!
  18. Nice one Josh. I really need to sort out a wireless flash again, and get back into riding pictures!
  19. That's what we usual do around here, but as Josh said, he tried that and the copper just started getting arsey! I've had the same, I was genuinely asking them why [whatever they said] and they threatened to take my bike off me for arguing!?
  20. Looks sick Steve! Ride soon when the weather starts getting nice?
  21. That's the first I've heard of it now being law to have a seat? Lights are the only important thing really, but I've argued with a PCSO once because I wasn't even riding when they spoke to me about them, and I also said I don't ride on roads anyway because of my gearing! I'll be out riding tomorrow night Josh, hopefully we'll be able to speak to them about it again.
  22. I wish Adam Griffin was really northern...
