Right then... Bike's back biatches Well not exactly... Went to the police station, met the officer. He went in his own car, becuase if he was in a Police car it would be too obvious. So, we got to number 114 .......... And the guy that answered the door didn't have a clue about any bike being sold. So I rang the guy to ask where he was, he said he was outside his house, I asked if it was number 114, he said no, 144. Just a typo in the eBay messages. We found number 144, Police car parked around the corner. Me and mum knocked on the door, he answers, lets us through to the back garden MY BIKE WAS THERE. I gave it a good look over, then said 'Is it alright if we just talk it all over in the car?' 'yeah sure go ahead' Mum went back to the car, I got the policeman. The policeman and I then knock on the guys door, me holding all the proof that the bike is mine, and he answers. Policeman explained who he was, and why he was there. He then invites us through to the backgarden where my bike was. He explains that the bike was stolen, when it was stolen, and shows him everything I had to prove it's mine. He said well he bought it from Cashconverters, and said he worked there. He still had his work shirt on and told us he had the reciept, and that he bought it for £65. Unfortunatley, he couldn't find the reciept, but had a genuine reason for where he got it from. On everything CashConverters take in, they take a picture of the person selling it to them, and take down some details. So the police should be able to track the guy down, as long as he gave correct information - which is doubtful as it's stolen property. We took it back to the police station, and then I wrote a statment of everything that happened, from putting it into the boot of the bus, to finding it on eBay and arranging to meet the guy. Which was fine. The policeman then asked if they can find the person that stole it, would I like to take them to court. Of course, I said yes He then said that they'll be able to fingerprint the bike, and myself and the person that bought the bike from CC, and then if there's any other prints, they can trace them etc. Which is cool. Also, they have the bike at the police station now, becuase if they gave it back to me, and it happens to get stolen again, that's evidence gone, so they basically have nothing for the court case. He said that if they can't find out who stole the bike at all, I should get it back in a week, but they will keep n looking for the person that stole it. And as soon as I get it back, it's being Postcoded and Insured. And no guys, he wasn't gay or a woman It was actually his wife/girlfriend's eBay account, and she was selling it for him. So as you may have guessed, I'm a very happy chappy Even though I don't have my bike yet, I know that it's nice and safe at the police station. They're going to take a statement by the guy that got it from CC when he's at work there (sometime next week) and then get hold of the information on who brought it in, and trace them up. I shall now read pages 5-7. So yeah, I guess this is the biggest story on T-F yet, and I'm proud to have basically solved it myself. Even the police said that I've done most their work, all they did was finish it off. Just amazed how all this happened in 10days, and that I did all this on a Friday 13th.

What Is The Worst Thing Your Bike Has Ever Done To You?
Dan6061 replied to LukeDraisey! :)'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
That's nice... Wrong topic mate -
haven't got it anymore I'll look about on eeengoodidleeedooodle
-
I just wanna see the guys face. I've got my new phone today, so I can film it if you want...
-
haha yah, classic. Is that the one where the guy goes up thequarter pipe to blunt the rail, and the bie flies straight over?
-
rang the seller, areranged to meet him at the address he gave me at 6. Gunna go to police station at 5:30, get somewhere there with me so they can arrest the b*****d. All being sorted by Mrs policewoman
-
Exactly. Did it ever occur to you that this guy is 'dodgey'? If he sees that on his auction, he's not still going to think 'oh look, they know it's stolen, i'll keep it here anyway" Feckin' 'ell....

UPDATE - Police are actually doing something. Rang me earlier this morning, and they've been to the address I was given, and the bike wasn't there. And the guy said that he's selling it for a friend. She said she can track the mobile number I was given, but that could take along time, which we don't have. I'm now arranging to meet the guy again to buy it off him, and waiting for a reply. And when we do meet, i'll have the Police with me. Should all be good...

Mine's somewhere around 5ft. Can't be bothered with big drops, I can never land smooth enough
-
don't say that Nah, doesn't seem clever enough to look through a forum for stuff about it...
-
Back in playgroup. Me and my mate were agueing over who drives this wooden car thing we had. Which had 2 steering wheels Brilliant times...
-
It's justa load of letters and symbols jumbled together to make stuff. Annoying
-
Me too, been up 2days, and nearly 1000 views, and 4 pages. Nice to know you guys are here to help Should be all sorted either tomorrow evening,or Saturday evening. Depending on if the police can get someone on it for tomorrow eveining or not.

No not fair play for him to nick it. Yes it is a nice bike, but doesn't give ANYONE the excuse to nick it out the back of a bus, possibly after seeing a 15yr old put it in. It's just harsh. And yes I would very much so like to kick the shit out of him, but better have the police arrest him, fine him, and get him done for all the drimes he has commited then have me possible get done for GBH or whatever aswell. I'll still happily 'acidently' scratch his car with the pedals..or bashplate

That's what I thought in the end. Just wondering..does anyone know who gaeth2512 on eBay is? Becuase they've been bidding on it. Could be someone on here, or if anyone knows him?
-
Where is the comp exactly? I haven't seen any other news about this...
-
I thought about doing that. And I might aswell wait for a reply from the police to see what they can do... just a matter of time...
-
is it me, or are you runing that front disc brake on a Magura HS33 lever?
-
yep that's him. If any of you see that he is no longer the highest bidder, contact me immediatley. Either PM, MSN, email. We need to make sure he wins it.

One of my mates had a Morris Minor Travveler. Was alright, we got 3 bikes and 3 people in it alright, front and rear wheel, bar and stems out mind, but was alright. And that was a stock, 24", and a mod. Was pretty handy for getting a years no claims on it too. Wasn't fast enough to get in an accident really Now he's in a 1.9 turbo Diesel 306. Nice.
-
It'd get obvious, and he'll probably end up chucking it. The police aren't so bad I suppose, but I just can't believe that I've done the hardest part of their job, and they can't even get ANYONE there to go and arrest him.
-
I already asked to view it to get his address. Police are f**king useless. I just rang them now to see if they can get anyone round there at all. She said she'll have to speak to the officer in charge of it first. I said, but the house is literally a 2min drive from the Station you're in! Can't you just finish it now? Like I said, I don't want to interfere with her work. I then told her that she said she'll try again tomorrow, and if no luck, then she's going to pass it over to someone on a late shift, to go there once he finishes work. So surely they can get someone there now, or tomorrow evening, then just pass on to her that they've got him? GRRrrr...We need a better Police Force IMO. Chris from work just said maybe we should get a big group round to his, with all my papers proving the bike is mine, and simply just take it basicaly.
-
When I emailed him saying I'm interested, he said I'll have to wait 'til the end of the auction for when he sells it. another 5 days yet. And police will be there at the weekend.
-
Police just rang me. She said she couldn't make the arrest today becuase of other commitments. And that she's going to try again tomorrow. I then told her that I know he's home from work around 5:30pm, and she said she couldn't go then becuase she's not working lates. If she can't make the arrest tomorrow, she's going to pass it over to someone doing a late shift to go there during the weekend to do it.
