  1. It's all about having a coloured frame with everything else black.
  2. Eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
  3. Brown should only be used on BMXs or 24s! Does look good though.
  4. Most Zona Zips crack at the bashplate mounts, but the actual mount itself, not the tubing. Get a grinder to it and a bashring, and you're good to go!

    Profile Hubs

They have pretty stong internals, unlike other bmx hubs out there. Good strong engagement, and fairly reliable. Sound good too! The bearings seem to break quite often, but they're cheap to replace if you go to the right places.

Didn't you know!? I bought a Neon conquereoroeoroer frame off my mate for £80. I fancied a change! It's shorter than the Zona, but doesn't feel it. It's much lighter too! But now has a slightly flared headtube as my Chris King has started to fall apart and I stupidly rode with it loose! Either going back to the Zona, or build my mate's spare T-Pro...

Man up Simps! Zona's don't even feel heavy when you ride them. I might have to build mine again soon, the headtube on my Neon is a bit flared.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fresh-Products-Brake-Lever-Magura-HS33-MTB-Trials-/230501268840?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item35aaf23d68 Bit expensive, but SO worth it! If not, have a hunt around for a 2004 lever blade, they have a nice round edge on them. I'm sure someone on here will have one knocking around somewhere.
  9. What bike have you got? Chances are if it's a 2.4 on the back, it'll be a 20" rim/tyre, not a 19" which the Maxxxis are. Despite having 20X2.5 written on them!
  10. I was expecting to see one of the old ET24s here. Does look nice though!
  11. I did that to my old Profile shell. As well as cracking/splitting it too! I opened it up wondering why it wasn't engaging, then looked a bit closer and noticed a gap between the ratchet and the shell body. All you can do is replace the shell, or just get a new hub.
  12. No, they're completely different. You can just get an M5 bolt (Same as a Magura clamp bolt) and cut a slot in the head of it, and use that in the TPA. I use bolts for mud-guards off cheapo bikes, as they're the perfect length for the TPA. Once it's all built up again, you can't even tell it's bodged.

    Tf Nostalgia

That was me! It got stolen out the boot of a bus. Then a week or so later I found it on eBay. I then emaled the seller saying I wanted to come have a look at it before I 'buy' it, so I got his address and everything. Wen round there with PC Plod, and a load of evidence that it's mine (Tartybikes invoices, pictures, etc) and then he had to hand it over. The guy who had it worked in CashConverters, and said someone brought it in, and he bought it for around £40!
  14. Trials just isn't fast enough. And as Tic's sort of pointed out with those two links, it's already been done, twice! What's going to be so different about someone on a 24" hopping around on walls etc, compared to the guys on the BMXs doing the same? Look at it from the average viewer, not as a trials rider... it'll just be a repeat of what's already been done. It is a nice idea, but I can't personally see it happening.

Looking back on all that, Trials-Forum sucks now... I can't believe the Late Night Thread went as well as it did! All I originally asked is why everyone was up at silly times.
  16. Sounds like the disc/pads are contaminated. Give them a good wash in warm soapy water, or put them through the dishwasher... Then put them back on, check everything's tight, and rinse off any remaining soap with water. Then just bed them in again by riding around with the brake on, then pour water on, and repeat until it works again.
  17. Trialtech bars. Phat Pads. Monty Eagle Claw rear tyre.
  18. I had this problem with my Tensile cranks. This is how I managed it: Soak the pedal/insert in WD40. Screw it back on the crank, and then tap the spanner on the pedal with a hammer/mallet. Each time, tighten it back into the crank tighter, so the insert is tight in the crank. Then just keep spraying and tapping it. Hopefully the WD40 will soak through between the threads, and the shock from the hammer will loosen the pedal in the insert, instead of the insert in the crank. I can't promise it'll work though, you might just end up loosening and tightening the insert over and over, and get no where.
  19. But think of the benefits... Educational Maintenance Allowance, Job Seekers Allowance...
  20. Aha, I was at the last few Abingdon rides... I just lurk about! Oh yeah! When we came off the motorway me and Tris were thinking 'oh hang on.. where are they going? Could be picking someone up..' But decided to stalk you anyway. I knew I'd have someone moaning at me about that! I really did want my Zona that day, there was loads about! I had no idea you'd once owned my frame until that day, my bike's a whore.
  21. Because I'm lazy, and people can tag themselves in them and what not. But yeah, it is pretty terrible!
  22. I didn't see you! Was too busy trying to slipstream Rowan's van...
  23. Those fixie barspins were insane! haha. Should've taken more pictures of them... Was good to meet you too, once you realised who I was! Hardly anyone knows me...
  24. Had such a good day! Some big riding went down by all, everyone was getting pretty tech' which was good to see! I abused some of the TGS gays. Anyway, here's a few I've picked at random from the lot. The rest are in the link below on Facebook.
