  1. Pretty sick, when did you ride Milton Keynes!?
  2. I quite like it to be honest, no idea why really!
  3. Really into acoustic covers recently! Been a fan of A Day To Remember, not so much the heavy screamy stuff, but the rest is awesome.
  4. You've probably ended up with dirt and grease on your rim/pads. Pour loads of hot, soapy water on the rim, and then ride around holding the brake on. This will cover the pads, and also rub the soap everywhere. Keep pouring more soapy water on and repeat. Then rinse it all off with hot water, and keep riding around holding the brake on, rinse, repeat. Then leave it to dry off, and keep riding around holding the brake on until it starts to work again.
  5. Disc brakes get very hot pretty quick, and water has a much lower boiling point than oil.. so the brakes will just boil, the seals will get ruined, and you'll be swearing a lot.
  6. I'm 20 and still don't need to shave yet! Massive win.
  7. I'm glad I'm crap at riding, at least I don't get hassled about making new videos! Good luck with the baby and everything though!
  8. I have no idea why, but if you wind the barrel adjuster right out on your lever when you set it up, it feels much better! Read that on here ages ago, and tried it on mine and it made a noticeabe difference. Also, make sure the rotor is just brushing the inner pad, and when you pull the lever the other one moves over to 'clamp' it. The amount of disc brakes i've seen set-up where the outer pod has to push the rotor over to brake... nasty way of doing it! Edit: My front set-up is a 203mm rotor (overkill!) normal cable, and a Shimano XTR lever. It's hardly spongey at all!
  9. I went to a Monty after using Maxxis for so many years, and it's so much better! So much more grip, and I don't think it's worn out much quicker?
  10. Used to be a car tyre fitter. Worked for a small business in the local industrial estate, but the price of tyres is getting way too expensive. Profit went down too much, meaning he couldn't afford to employ me anymore, so I had to go. So now I'm a bum!
  11. My previous comment still stands...

    New Hs33 Brake

Care to explain the new bleed system then? Or has it already been said and I've missed it?
  13. I don't understand why you want just the disc on there, if you can't even fit a caliper for it?

    Ratio

As said, you want the 18t up front, and 12t on the rear! If you're somehow stuck with the 18t on the back, then I think 24t would be the closest. That's what my old T-Bird had back in the day, and that seemed alright to me!
  15. Bike set-ups are completely personal preference, so as you've seen, everyone will tell you different things. Have a think about what you think you could improve. You've already said that your bars feel a bit too narrow, and by the sounds of it they are! I had standard Onza 'flat' bars before, which were horrible. They were steel and were so solid! Also leave your hands in a horrible position. I then went to Zoo riser bars, which where a big improvement. They were wider, slightly higher, had a nice bit of flex to them, and best of all kept my hands in a much more comfortable position. Now I have Trialtech Sport risers, and they're perfect for me. Slightly higher than my Zoos were, and the general shape of them seems to suit me/my set-up nicely.
  16. Trialtech's are actually perfect.
  17. I don't understand why they don't realise a spline/lockring system for cranks/sprockets, like Deng did with the fixed hubs. Would save a lot of hassle!
  18. Thought I'd give brakeless a go!
  19. Get a linear slic cable, and a Shimano XTR lever, and it'll be amazing.
  20. Got a lovely Zona Zip frame...
  21. Lookis alright that! Get that Magura on the back, and the disc up front.
  22. I say just be yourself, don't try and be anything you're not. Because if you completely change who you are just for some girl, and you get found out, you'll just look like a knob.
  23. General rule for me is having them so they end up flat when I'm on the backwheel.
