Bump. Just re installed windows. The whole PC is running smoothly, apart from the network. It now detects the netowork, but cannot connect via the USB Wireless Adaptor. I'm sure everything is set up as it should be. Anyone else wanna try and help? Might have to resort to ringing AOL again...

Tried that. No Wireless networks were found: Tried to set one up, but got this: EDIT: Just tried the troubleshooting from Microsoft.com, and searched '871122' and did exactly as it said, and i'm still getting the error box.

Perhaps it wasn't considered racist back then? Or not as bad as it is today. I was watching an Only Fools and Horses episode the other day, the one where they have their own nuclear bomb shelter. Rodney asks Del where they'll get food from (something like that) and Del says "Well..bound to be a little paki shop open somewhere" I remembered that bit from aaaaages ago, But when I saw it the other day, it was cut out.

So where abouts would this option be? The Netgear utility is no more, as I deleted it. But if I need it back, I can easily install it again...

Ok. I re-installed the driver and utility, then I removed the untility from Add/remove..... as Jon said. I then un plugged, and plugged in the wireless adaptor, and it didn't say anything about finding a netowork. I tried to let windows repair the connection, but it cannot connect. I just told me to contact who manages the network.

Right, tried clicking the connect bit like you said, and same thing happened. Bugger all. Jon, if it helps, i've posted up the settings tab in the first post.

Not 100% sure what you mean... But it doesn't ever get a signal. I was sat there for ages waiting for it. And how do I let windows sort it. (I know i'm useless )

Sorry about this guys, I'm once again having problems with our wireless network. First we had a telephone cable going from the wall plug, to the router that was plugged into the PC with a LAN cable. It is currently still set up like that untill the problem can be sorted. We got fed up of having the cable across the floor, so I plugged the router into the wall, and had the wireless USB thing in the PC. I have installed it, configured the router and everything. But when it trys to get a signal, I'm left with this for ages: It says it has 90% signal. In the tray thing at the bottom, it says nothing's working. As you can see. It scans the channels for ages, but cannot get a signal. Here's the Settings tab, if it helps: Here are my Netowrk Connections: As you can see, 'Local Area Connection' says "A netowrk cable is unplugged" and 'Wireless Network Connection 3' is not connected. I don't understand it. It all works fine when connected via Ethernet cable, but I don't want it that way. I might even have to ring AOL for help. Help me.
