  1. Got the Trialtech Lite BB on mine now, was so happy to see the alu' sleeves on there! Feels very smooth, and only time will tell how long it'll last. So far I've snapped a FSA Platinum Pro, killed the bearings on a Truvativ, and also a cheapo VP one too!
  2. I liked how April 2009 had that general 'feel' that it was just another 'normal' riders video, the way a lot of the shots were filmed made it seem like you were stood there watching. Where as Way Back Home had more of a ducumentary feel to it. Not saying it as a bad thing in the slightest! It proves how much has changed for Danny between the two videos, how he's gone from just out riding for himself, to now doing it for a bunch of big companies. Pretty crap at wording these kinda things, but you get the idea. Best video I've ever seen! Frontflips made it.
  3. Unlucky to all those that have ordered some. - They're proper heavy, and get to a fairly hard pressure (for mod riders) before they even fill up the tyre! I tried one once, and it just wobbled around in the tyre, and felt horrible.
  4. Feel alright to me, and i've literally just thrown them on! Need to play around with the tiny washers to get the callipers to sit right though. I think that's the key to getting nice lever feel. Thanks for all the comments!
  5. Dual disc was such a good choice! All I've done to help them bed in is chuck water on them, then ride about in all the mist. Not slipped once! Love it.
  6. I think I spent just over £600 on new parts!
  7. I have no idea what the Geo is! And yeah, Tris' mate's old frame... I spotted it in the corner of Tris' garage one night and had to have it.
  8. Cheers guys! I've only had a quick blast on it outside trying to bed the discs in. Seems really nice! Need to get used to silent brakes. It rides really well though, it still feels the same as before, but lighter.
  9. Just finished building up my Neon again. I broke most of it a few months ago, so it's been shown some love and now has a complete new spec! Possibly my nicest bike yet! I painted the frame myself, it's 'Rover Tara Green'. Spec: Neon Conquer Echo Lite forks. Tensile Cranks, 60click Freewheel. Trialtech bars, BB, and pedals. Monty PR Stem. DOB Magnesium rims, front one on Onza sealed hub, rear on Rockman BUB disc hub. 160mm Hope Mono Trial Tech's front and rear. Halfords foam grips. Weight: 9.06KG. - Exactly 20lbs! Hope you like it!
  10. I've got the cheapo Trialtech platform pedals, and they're awesome! Pins have stayed in for a considerable amount of time. Grip well, haven't fallen apart. Can't complain...

    Misfits

    I think it's wicked!
  12. I love that! Especially all the ghosty lines! Baller. As. Feck.
  13. "Use the search!" - Which is actually pretty useless, always has been! And you never get the specific advise you're looking for, and it is just easier to make a new thread for your own problem. If someone went and found a thread with the info they needed, and the posted in it, everyone would moan because they're bumped an old thread! ...moan moan moan.
  14. Shucksmith's on it. Rules of the thread I'm afraid! Spill the beans.
  15. It is Chris' old frame, yeah. The tensioner does need sorting! The chain was tight to begin with, but it's all bedded in now and it's slackened off. Needs a seat too!
  16. This is my mate's (6ftmidget) Leeson that he built up while his Zenith get's rebuilt. All the parts are off the Zenith, hence the fairly modern spec! Enjoy!
  17. Literally just looked at the Tech lever before I read your post! Think i've got my heart set on them now. When payday rolls around, and i've paid off my debts, i'll be making a massive order from you! Total is £744 at the moment, to complete my bike. Ouch.
  18. Sounds pretty promising. I'm fairly fussy with my lever pull, so i'm swaying towards Avid's just for that option. Seen the Avid Code's too, and they come in white which is nice, are they actually any good though? Or does Hope seem to be the most sensible option? Cheers for the advice Mark, was hoping one of you Tarty lads would step in and help out with this! Also, I have no idea if my frame has a +20 mount or not?
  19. I'm currently rebuilding my bike, as I broke most/all of it, so it's getting some love and attention, and too much money thrown at it! I have a Neon Conqueror Mod frame, with a rear disc mount. Just gone through my second Profile shell - The ratchet is cracked around the edge and breaking free from the body! So that'll go bang soon. So I'm going front freewheel, with a rear disc hub for the option. I know sod all about disc brakes, I've had a BB7 on the front for years now, and it's been amazing! But I've heard that they're not as good on the back? I'd probably go for a set of Hopes or Avids if I did go rear disc, but I know nothing about them! Problem is, I do like my loud brake. Current set up is an HS33, Phatpads, grind, no booster, Try-All clamps. Wouldn't mind a quiet disc to be honest, as long as it's instantly grabby and holds well! - Are discs like this at all? How much hassle are they? Is it really worth it? Will 160mm be enough? Cheers.
  20. Site's looking good Mike! Glad to see it all going well at last! What's the reason behind the chamfered edge on the pads? Does it actually help at all?
  21. The lever blades on those are horrible! The later ones were rounded out more, so they're much more comfortable. Clean them up if you want, they're not exactly super-rare or anything though!
  22. Sort out the flights for yourself and have a nice holiday?
