  1. Just get a Odyssey Slic cable. You're not doing barspins, so I don't think a linear is necessary. Outer brake cables have a metal coil, whereas Magura hosing is simply thick plastic. Obviously the metal is a lot harder than the plastic, so it'll be stiffer. So, as said, it will be horrible. Don't do it.
  2. I thought I was lucky getting mine back after two weeks! Go check it out, get the police to come along too, no harm in trying..
  3. Same. Get a bus/train/whatever..and go ride somewhere good.
  4. So, train station at 11? I might be pretty early..and i'll be on my own..but yeah. cool.
  5. I'm signed in now. ...Just to rub it in...

Nope. I really like the site. Might get some of these pads when my Koxx Blue's die.
  7. ahh I remember these... I had a Sega Saturn though.
  8. Just bought some Slim Jims recently..lost pretty much all the grub screw pins on one side of the left pedal... Wish I loctited them in now.. - Must find the spares... Apart from that, they're awesome. Prefer them to the V8's I've had. Nice big platform for my big feet, slim design (obviously) etc.. Pretty much what Steve said.
  9. Looks horrible. If it didn't have the stupid bend in the top tube, it'd look well nice.
  10. Does anyone ever read the descriptions?
  11. The Trials one will have more engagements, meaning if it does skip, it wont be as bad, as the next engagement will be closer than on the 'normal' one. I'm pretty sure the hub body's are beefed up more too, if you're getting a brand new one, then the hub body will be stronger than the old ones. - A few people ripped their hubs apart because of the weak body's.
  12. You wont be able to use the 24t chainring on the Zip, as the chain will rub on the CNCing in the rear triangle. So yeah, you'd need to switch to a front freewheel. (18t front, 12t fixed cog rear)
  13. I thought about it, then I realised I don't have one. I also realised that it's against the rules to buy/sell/swap in new members chat.
  14. Give us a pic' Ali.. Go on, know you want to.
  15. I managed to get mine out by jimmying a screw drive about in it...I just fiddled, and it worked. You only need to get one pair of bearings out really... Also, there are some wafer thing washers that go between the big hub spacers (silver- drive, black - non-drive) and the hub bearings. Make sure it's got those. Umm...can't really think of anything else...
  16. Had the same problem when I replaced my bearings. Take it apart, and see if there's a spacer inbetween each pair of driver bearings..if not, carefully try and take them out, and ring Profile, and they'll send you one for free. ...Did for my anyway...
  17. What's your technique for drops? When I started, I just pedal-hopped off everything, which is very sketchy... When you're at the edge, drop the front wheel down, and tuck back, then drop off it, straighten yourself out in mid-air, then compress down when you land.
  18. Yep, that be right. Although, I'm pretty sure bikes being used on roads need seats, and reflectors? If this is true, then pretty much everyone can ride on the pavement.
  19. That would be Chris. Nice vid' Steve, enjoyed that.
  20. We go to Tesco's (up the road) or into town (down the road)... Or go home. Some people play cards, others poker..try to kick a ball about, buit the teacher in the room below moans because of all the banging. It's funny what you find yourself doing when you're bored...
  21. 222 Oxfoorrddd. Haven't rode there in aaageeessss.
