  1. The front end is a bit low! I might try some Trialtech high rise bars on it, might suit the frame a bit better. I do all sorts of riding on it really, mainly just mess about doing little street lines etc.
  2. I've not been on the forum much recently, but I've still been riding! I cracked my Neon pretty bad, then got a Monty 221pr frame cheap as a temporary frame until I found something better... ...which is this: Quick spec: Rockman Aurem III, Monty Kamel forks and stem, Trialtech sport riser bars, dual Hope Mono Tech Trial, Monty rims, front Onza sealed hub, rear Rockman BUB Disc hub, 175mm Trialtech cranks. No idea what the weight is...
  3. The fact that you got it because it broke is a pretty bad sign anyway...
  4. I really liked my 221 with Kamel forks and stem...
  5. Tried cleaning your rim? Hot soapy water, rinse it with water many times over. Ride around dragging the brake, let it dry, win?
  6. I've never seen the need to get angry at security guards. In Milton Keynes there's one that has kicked us off this one spot so many times that he's gotten to know us! He's always been polite, as we are back. Now he'll stand around and have a chat with us, and we can't get rid of him sometimes! Getting all angry and arguing with them to me, reminds me of when a parent is trying to pull their child away from the park, and they're screaming and throwing a tantrum because they don't want to leave.
  7. Can't see why not... both IS mount for Avid rear 185mm rotor.
  8. Sweet edit Steve! Nice one. I'm on the mod btw
  9. Depends on the brake set-up I think. My 160mm Hope Mono Trials are fine!
  10. You get a better grip on the bars, and it's quicker to use one finger instead of two. Just practice with it, you'll get there.
  11. I think the Minimoto engine will be poweful enough. There's a disused carpark near where I live which makes the perfect little racetrack! Been riding the minimoto round there with my mates. I think the hardest part is connecting the cog to the axle, and fitting the minimoto wheels to it. Or we could make an axle up for it... I don't think the standard plastic wheel will be up to much...
  12. Guys, I have a plan... How hard could it be? I know it can be done, various Youtube videos have proved this. I'm thinking it's just a case of mouting the engine, making up throttle/brake pedals, and mounting the large cog onto the rear axle. Plan is to fit the MiniMoto wheels to it too so it grips... Should be fun
  13. The bearings in my Rockman BUB hub blew up on the DJ Portsmouth ride! Was riding about with it going 'click click click clunk...' Spent a few quid on some new bearings, got them in, and it's been fine since!
  14. Mike, that sucks man. Been kinda stalking your life story on here for a while, and I was pleased for you when it started looking up with this new girl! Real shame that it's ended, it's never easy.
  15. That would 'click' more often than a certain link on the chain going around the cog.
  16. Haven't actually slipped the pedals in years! Does that make me a pro?
  17. Nice on Steve, you finally made it! Was an awesome day's riding. Defo doing that again soon. I'm on the green mod btw.
  18. Where's the free parking at? Got a postcode for it at all?
  19. Been on about making a trip down there sometime in the summer!
  20. Get the left one in one colour, and the right in another!
  21. Ahh, yeah we spotted you both. Could've sworn one of you took a picture on a phone?
  22. No idea what frame to get next! Aha no, unfortunately not! If I sort a frame out for the DJ ride then I'll head down. Not in the Mini though. Was that you that took a picture of us on the motorway?
  23. I've cracked my Neon! Nearly all the way around the driveside seatstay. How it looks now: The crack: It splits apart into a Y shape further around. I flexes a lot now, aha. Oooooops!
  24. Water is fine for trials. The brakes don't get hot enough to boil up. Oil has a much higher boiling point than water, which is one of the reasons why it is used in brakes. The Magura's internals are just plastic, which doesn't corrode, so the seals will be fine.
