Bit windy and rainy up here now... Nothing special, just a shitty day. Yesterday was alright, went riding in town. Was well cloudy, but warmish. Started spitting, then stopped, then started again, then stopped. Then we had blue skies with a nice riding temerature.

You can't say what the best frame is, as there's so many for different types of riding.. and it's all personal preference for what feels best. Shop is Tartybikes, no question. Silly thing to ask really..

Sand all the paint off, go to Halfords, and buy some Autosol. Get a cloth, and buzz over the frame with the polish. My mate has a big polisher machine in his garage, so I spent a night on that getting all the scratches out, then the next night with the Autosol. Was so shiney.

There's your problem. Have a look at upgrading the ram. I have 1GB in mine, and it does the job fine!

I can't see this working really to be honest. Instead of looking through pages after the search, you'd have to look through pages of this thread just to see a picture of a new bike, for example. Sorry Muel...

Who cares? He's out riding, not in a fashion show... Nice pics! Wish I had somewhere like that to ride. All flat fields round 'ere.

It is to the cow, cows family, cows friends...

A choice of skins. I like the blue one...

You know ACSs loosen themselves on the front of trials bikes? Trials freewheels will loosen themselves on the back. This is because the lockring threads are reversed, as the freewheel is fitted on the other way around. So they tighten themselves instead of loosening. Then when you put one on the back, the (trials) freewheel would be the wrong way round, so the lockring will just loosen instead of tighten. I'd never touch a freewheel with a welder, because if you need to replace a part of it, then you're screwed. Best thing to do is get one, clean all the threads up (get rid of grease etc..) then loctite it in place.

It's stopped squeaking because there is less vibrations because of the booster. With my Vee brake, when a bolt on the caliper loosens off a bit, my brake gets really loud and sounds awesome, then I notice the bolt, tighten it back up, and it goes all quiet again.

£521. Not bad actually! Quite a few bits on my bike are from other shops, and people.

Even so, they're from the 1800s. I'd feel bad about riding something that old, be it a grave or not.
-
Exactly, if someone complains about you riding somewhere near a grave/somewhere similiar, then just move on. The worst thing you can do is argue back. Just makes you look petty and stupid. Like I said before, the Church in Oxford is a pretty good spot, and I've never seen anyone complain or say anything bad about us riding there. S'only the walls and benches afterall...

Yeah, does sound like a stiff link problem. That or you haven't got the mech/tensioner align properly? I would suggest a Kmc Kool too, but I've had so many problems with mine recently. Fair enough it's old, and made up of about 4 different chains, but the links just splay apart, no snap? Even happened when it was new. The pins are just too short...
-
Even if they are empty, I still wouldn't ride on something that old, and mouldy... looks slippy.
-
I'm just under 12st now. Around 6ft tall... I'm either getting more muscley, or chunky.
-
Well yeah, obviously. But I still wanted to say it.

Enough with the essays? I don't understand most of them... Anyway, riding on gravestones is just a big no for me. Despite how old they are, or wether anyone, anywhere knows who the person on the gravestone is. I've read people on here saying they'd let people ride on theirs, and others saying they wouldn't. Well to those saying they would, it doesn't give you the excuse that it's okay to ride on other peoples, maybe the people that once were below the stone would've said they wouldn't want you to ride on them? In Oxford we ride at the church, just on the walls and benches. Never on the gravestones. I've ridden there many times and no one else on the ride has touched the graves at all, and we don't get any angry looks or anything. I like Simpson's point about pissing on people or whatever. There's just certain things in life you just don't do. Despite wether you can find a good excuse or not.

Me and Rich (guy on the nice Insipired last time..) might come. Depending on if I fix my bike or not, and if he's not still ill. Might even be able to ride this time if my brake'll work!

Asking how often we buy parts is pretty useless if you're starting your own company (for the subject anyway..) seeing as most of us just replace parts when they break, not buy a new frame every 2 months or whatever. What are you actually doing for your business studies thing? Or is it just a whole new trials shop kinda thing? I'd ask things like, what we'd want to see products wise - ranges of bike lengths, different products, new ideas, originality etc. I'm sure all of us would be interested if a new range or company was to suddenly appear, so maybe try asking what we'd want from the company? Asking for what price we want doesn't make sense to me either, obviously we'd have the cheaper option if we had to choose... I like the question about the hand-made and machined parts though, seeing as they both have their advantages. I'd like to see some hand-made parts come out to see what they're like. I guess a lot more thought and planning would go into that too. That's just the kinda stuff I looked at when I did Business for GCSE. Just think about what you'd expect from a new company aswell, seeing as you ride trials too and all.

Zona's are seriously nice frames. Especially if you're like me and don't care about weight! They're pretty heavy frames compared to T-Pros etc, but they make up for that by being so strong! They're long frames, feels much longer than a T-Pro (I went from T-Pro to Zona) but the way they ride is very similar. Very 'flicky' on the back wheel due to the short chainstays, and they're easily held on the front wheel too! I can't fault them really, apart from the bashplate mount cracking, but I got my mate to grind it off as I got a bashring...

Was a little too repetitive for me. Pretty much all on that rail, and with the same angle. And how the song has been used in a Phil Feeney video, which made me think of that instead. Don't get me wrong, the video was awesome, just...yeah. I liked it though.

Well done Mark! Now it's your turn to hide, and let the HDD find you!

I was going to say it sounds like it's been overtightened, and the bearings have been crushed. Problem with Pig headsets, is that they're ever so slightly oversized, and King's are undersized, so when I went from a Pig to a King, my headset just pressed in my hand. But the Pig needs a lot of force to get back in.
