Can't believe it's been 10 years now! I'm sure myself and the local Milton Keynes lot will come down. Always had a good time at these rides
-
I can only find sets of them on eBay for £60 and thats so expensive just for shitty plastic that falls off!
-
Went to Ultimate Dubs on Sunday and had a photoshoot afterwards with MDB Images. I think that's enough now

You called? Oh wait...

My brain can't handle people changing their usernames! ...onzaboymark

Thanks Robin, I prefer these too! Looks a lot more sensible now, and doesn't look awful with the car raised up like the others did. I need to have a play on Photoshop and see what colours I like...

The BBS reps were cool, but the tyres weren't illegal, and I fancied a change! I'm going to Photoshop different colours onto them and see what I like. Thinking creme at the moment... That bloody door trim! Haha. Been missing for over a year... I happily spend £220 on wheel adapters but can't justify £35 on a bit of plastic.

Changed my wheels. Heard that the Police are going crazy this year over stretched tyres, and specific load ratings for tyres etc... Land Rover wheels! Comet's off of a Disco' 2. Bought the wheels off of a mate for £80, got some custom adapters made for £220. I'm happy with them Also felt like a boss on my way back from collecting the adapters. Driving along, see a dead pheasant in the road, aired up over it, cleared it, and aired back down. Felt like gadget man!

It's suprisingly good! I got so used to bouncing around on cheap coilovers, I was expecting it to be the same. It's so comfy! Just sucks up the bumps, and handles well too.

Air ride is done, wheels are painted and fitted!

Air ride is happening... Got a problem with the front bags at the moment, so they're not fitted yet. Have rear air installed and working though! http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=455226&page=9

Painting my wheels... From my Instagram. Just need to sand and polih the dish on this one, then crack on and mask up and paint the other 3!
-
Made a start on my air ride install, also decided to paint my wheels too! Can't be bothered to copy and paste it all over from Edition38, so just read it here: http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=455226&page=9

Audi just got through an MOT! Got to replace the top suspension arms as the bushes are a bit iffy. - No play in them, but they're on the way out! Also got a sticky brake caliper on the nearside front. I need new pads soon anyway, so I'll attack that at the same time. Chuffed!

Do Audi's count? It's till VAG...

Slow reply... I'm not on here much anymore! I found out about this Polish company that make their own kits. - www.airride-system.pl After a good few weeks researching them, I only saw good things! And figured that as along as I get everything to seal up properly, I can't see myself running into any problems as it's a pretty basic system! So I just took the risk and ordered it. Gong to have a 2 way system, with a 3 button wired remote to control both axles separately, and together. The tank, compressor, valves, and wiring will all be in the spare wheel well. I plan on making up a false floor type board to mount the wiring to the underside, and then have the tank and compressor on top to keep it tidy. Already got a bag full of goodies for the wiring etc, just waiting on the kit itself to be delivered sometime in Jan, and then I can fit it on a ramp at work!

Getting/fitting air ride to the Audi sometime next month. Will try to remember to post pictures on here if anyone cares. I know how much Tarty Adam loves my stance wagon

Dan - You won't be able to get it right without the equipment. You could get it driving straight, but the wheels could be set toe in/out which would mess up your tyre wear. I did the alignment on my girlfriend's car the other week, same as yours but a boring petrol version, and it was seized! So I had to heat up the locking nuts, clean up the thread, and then wound the arm out and copper greased everything. If you have a blowtorch or something then you could do that yourself, then take it back down to the guys to adjust it back. Doubt they'll have a problem then! Do you know what type of alignment equipment they have? We have a Hunter at work which is computerized and stupidly accurate! The older Supertracker stuff isn't that great, if they have the old stuff then that could be the problem as it's not measuring the rear axle to see if it's all square.
-
Mark - Alignment could still be out as the rear wheels took a whack too by the sounds of things! Best bet is to call into a garage that has a Hunter Alignment system that can check all 4 wheels, and the camber/castor angles too. Sounds like they've just re-aligned the front wheels assuming that the rear wheels are still straight/squared up! Which is why the steering wheel is still off to one side when you drive straight. As bad as most of them are, a majority of Kwik-Fit depot's have the Hunters, and will do a free check for you with no obligation to get the work done. It is pretty pricey to get it all aligned by them, but it will go in a straight line again! Oh, and the chassis looks fine to be honest, mine is MUCH more battered than that!
-
Thanks, I like the splitter though! I got given it for free and fitted it for Edition38. Didn't expect it to last this long to be honest!

Must be a scene thing... I'm not sure.
