    Covid19

I think it's two consecutive days of -ve tests on day 6 & 7 and you're out. Lily is now out of isolation and back to school tomorrow, zero covid infection in the rest of us.

    Kids bikes

Aneurin is taking to the balance bike really well so we're thinking that we ought to get a small bike to have around the house ready for him to pick up when he's ready. Going to be a while before he can fit the Isla 16 we have in stock. Wife spotted an early rider belter 14 for 100 quid on Facebook, a bit of tidying on the edges but that's not an issue, let's see how long he takes

Yeah Sheryl sent me a message saying she couldn't put up with your personal smell any longer
  4. f**king vegans, always going on about it to all and sundry!

    Covid19

Did you have any vaccine previously? No judgement at all just curious. My delta infection back in November was stabby eyeball pain, aching hips, sinus pain for a day and no fever. Lost some taste for about 3 days or so. The vaccines may have anulled some of the symptoms, personally I don't see the need for more now. The worst bit for me was aching hips as it stopped me sleeping properly!
  6. Quinoa, EVERYTHING with quinoa! Note that we're not vegan or even veggie but reckon the could drop the meat without too much hassle.

    Covid19

I'm fairly happy that it appears to be on its way out. We'll get to Boris's herd immunity once all the dead people have finished dieing

    Covid19

So yup, we're apparently immune to omicron, absolute no transmission from Lily to the rest of us. Been testing lfts every couple of days and not one positive. I had my second jab on 1st June and no boosters, so according to the government I have zero protection against omicron... I guess we had enough natural immunity hanging about from our delta infection at the beginning of November, I'll stick with my own immunity from now on
  9. House extension starts on the 10th Jan. I suppose this will force me to finish off building the kitchen that I started back in 2015

    Covid19

So Lily has now tested positive whilst away over the Christmas break, she was the only one of us that didn't get Delta back in October/November as she went to stay at her dads. Looks like we may all be infected again within the next few days. Be interesting to see what it does as we should still have some T cell immunity. I'm double jabbed but not boosted.
  11. Happy Christmas etc etc We were all sorted and in bed by ten including the rampaging toddler! Woken up at 5 by the teenager and finally got up at 6

    Covid19

Be interesting to see how you cope with it, seeing as you had it in the early waves. I reckon you'll just have a couple of days of flu like symptoms. Keep us updated
  13. I reckon that'd work edit: in reality it is easy to isolate the stiffness in a BB brake and it would only need a tiny amount of moisture in there to freeze to seize it up. Stick the caliper in a bowl of rice for a couple of days and see if it releases at all when it's cold.

Alright, alright mr big head! Refreshing isn't it? I think that's because we're largely a mature, educated group of people who 'grew up' together on here and riding stupid bikes with no seats! We're more of a community than a melting pot of dailymail readers the are only interested in spouting their own opinion/agenda than engaging in debate.
  16. Indeed who is this new chap? Reckon he knows anything at all?
  17. I know slack head angles, long, low etc etc all makes it a bit vague but surely my 1080mm wheelbase intense with a high BB (face it, it's a BMX with 26" wheels and suspension) should loop out easier! The switchback climb up lower cliff at Cannock should be a nightmare for you edit: or is it the silly pie plate large sprocket giving you silly ratio and therefore loads of torque to hoist the front wheel at every opportunity? I guess my 32:36 gearing keeps the power going backwards not upwards.
  18. How the hell did you get the tyre wandering on cardiac? It's a straight hill

    F1

I don't follow F1 but watched the last 30 laps or so due to the hype surrounding this year's finale. Not a fan of either but max seems like a bit of a cock. Given that Hamilton was still holding sufficient lead with knackered tyres and verstappen couldn't catch him it seems grossly unfair that the 10 second advantage with 6 laps remaining gets completely obliterated by the safety car. Might as well not bothered with the previous 57 laps, just set them off with unbalanced tyre setup (new softs vs old hards) for a one lap sprint...
  20. New headset arrived, all works as intended. Hand tracking is also working now so I can pretend to press pretend buttons in my pretend plane that I'm pretending to fly with my real life fingers on my real life hands

Neil and Nadine* Tunnicliffe? Not doing riding videos though. * née Staniforth
  22. Here's me, <250 quid a month mortgage and have I bothered to overpay anything? hah! There is only me earning though so much less disposable income.
  23. Even that reprobate Travis has been on pinkbike! In all honesty though hand built steel hardtails seem pretty popular even if your build isn't necessarily aimed at the usual demographic
  24. Adam Read, the man that will take a grinder to eewings. You f**king loon
