I have a nasty suspicion that I still have the original hope mini pads on the back of my intense from when I bought the caliper back in about 2003 I dare say that it's not had so much hardcore use though

House extension shell should be finished and watertight today Now we've got to do the inside bits!

This is true, turning circle on the 7m long sprinter is almost as good as the 5m smax, mirrors are much better and because you're sat so much further up you can spy on what crap people have in their footwells when sat in traffic jams on the motorway
-
Ah but he was talking about a 7m long motorhome, the sprinter I posted up there is only 500ish mm longer than the caddy
-
Try standing up in it and making a cup of tea
-
Oh and don't discount the luxury of being able to stand up in your van, so many transporter owners I've seen that have to park, pop the roof up, put the awning up, build the kitchen and THEN make a cup of tea! We can park and be cooking bacon and brewing coffee within minutes
-
You might be suprised just how easy sprinters are to drive, they're relatively narrow for a van and I don't thing that's much longer than my smax! If you fancy some light reading on a self build, this book is excellent. Don't set a budget and just build what you can, when you can https://climbingvan.co.uk/product/the-van-conversion-bible/ edit: smax length is 4796, SWB sprinter length is 5267!
-
What you want is a SWB high top sprinter, they're f**king comical to look at though Do your own conversion and tailor it perfectly for what you need.
-
Could almost do all that in a ford smax Not as good as a van for amenities though! Persephone does MTB training at Cannock chase on a Saturday morning and it's lovely to tromp back to the sprinter and put the kettle on for tea to warm up before driving 20 minutes home
-
Unfortunately buying a van at the moment is a fools game, prices are still up a few grand over what they were pre-covid. Might be better with a big estate/mpv?
-
With a small air bubble in there it may still be enough force to move the pistons in free air but as soon as any resistance in met it will compress and lever will pull to the bars. Hang it up by the bars over night, tap the line occasionally to try to get the bubbles moving upwards towards the lever and syringe bleed the last bit of air out

This is also true, life of excess takes its toll. I'm amazed that lemmy lasted as long as he did
-
I believe he had quite bad asthma, who knows what other co-morbidities. Likewise.... I had my last jab in april, according to the government covid will put me in hospital and I need to get boosted NOW! Or I'll just let my natural immuity handle it now like it did over christmas and I didn't catch omicron despite it being in the house.

That's a bit pre-judgemental isn't it? I mean she might be a lovely lass!

M6 is used for V brakes and conventional cantilever studs (i.e: the normal magura 2 bolt mountings). As adam said, a couple of packers of aluminium will sort it out, other than that, can't help

So following the 14" belter that turned out to be a 16" belter we've accidentally a whole Isla cnoc14s The child isn't three yet, can't pedal yet but at least he's sorted for the next few years

Builders are in today, digging up the garden for the extension
-
Oh and it has a cracked and welded driveside crank that the seller managed to not mention or take photos of! Looks a good weld though so I'm not concerned, but how the hell do you crack a crank on a 16" kids bike? It's a bit smaller than the isla16 so he will be a bit quicker onto it, in the mean time a friend of mine has a grandson who is just growing out of his frog40 but can't quite fit into the 20" frog that he has to grow into. Going to do a part time swap, isla16 for frog40 till Aneurin is big enough to move onto the early rider. edit: needs new brake cables as the old ones have never seen lube that I can tell, also the bottom bracket bearings were notchy to all hell, too much happy jetwash I think (MX racing family). Cartridge bearings all round though so popped the races out, prised out the seals and soaked them in thinners for ten mins. Repacked with waterproof grease and now much more freely spinning Got to try to clean and lube the belt freewheel now, it's an odyssey unit and appears to be fully rebuildable so will look into that one. Dripped some oil into it in the mean time and it's better than it was. Belt drives are a bit of a faff to tension with sliding dropouts, if the wheel's not perfectly square the belt slides off the side of the sprockets Picture added of the gunk that came out of the two bottom bracket bearings edit again: sorry not an MX family, turns out it's Ben Birchall as in half of the IoM TT sidecar outfit racing brothers duo

Wife got me a beastmaker last Christmas, it's hard and I'm still not a beast...
-
Well Aneurin was 88cm when we measured him a few weeks back, he can currently climb onto Persephone's frog52 and reach the pedals with both feet, I think sheer bloody mindedness and willpower will get him to fit Can always make a plywood saddle cutout with a hole to fit over the seat tube stub, couple of zipties to the toptube and some closed cell foam padding, all he needs!
-
It's fine as long as it's not disturbed, most schools and hospitals are full of the stuff
-
Yeah, if they're good then leave well alone Guess who did their annual asbestos awareness course yesterday
-
Careful with those roof sheets, looks like they could be asbestos from here edit: white asbestos was used to reinforce corrugated cement sheets and is hydrophillic so tends to hold moisture and grow moss. If they were put up 50-70s then definitely watch out for them!

Except what was sold as a belter 14 is actually a belter 16 To match the isla 16 that we already have in stock..... His 6 month older cousin can borrow the isla and he will have to grow into the ER. Recommended inside leg of 40cm, Anuerin is 30cm from foot to nappy (cloth nappy so at least 2" thick) and growing like a weed so it'll probably not take him long to get on it. In the mean time I'm going to see if I can't fashion a combined seatpost/clamp so we can fully slam the saddle

We just need some sun now Been worrying everyone in the office today with my cough, still all fully negative lfts though
