18:17... why? because i can't find my cassette key would run 18:16 or 18:15 if i could find it... but this ratio has served me well so far, makes the bike feel really light... just my personal preference, my mate runs 22:18 i think and its way to hard...

the mad i'm looking at is this one: madness not too fussed about having to sand the pads a little, as i have zoo pads on a smooth rim and i cant see them wearing too fast with just tar looks decent too me though and i actually can't wait to get away from long low and silver ... i have always liked to ride a different frame... i've ridden a diamondback and a black mumba which are fairly rare frames (odd choices)... have you got a pics of your team issue fredrico? edit: just found out the frame i'm looking at on ebay is the 05 and not the 06, can anyone tell me the difference? also can anyone tell me the geometry/dimensions of the mad frame?

hello all... bit late for me but i have bin looking at frames on ebay... i know what im looking at now, and obviously frames such as echo and zoo! are the stronger frames and generally have the better geometry and better feel. anyways without rambling on, my mumba frame has cracked unusually on the driveside drop out (i think this is from when i ran the frame without a tensioner) :$ theres nothing i can do now... its done.. the frames pretty f**ked up... all my fault, im stupid... yeah don't go on about it as i feel like a twat... anyways back to topic... looking for a budget frame with reasonably good geo and a good ride. when i say buget... i meen seriously budgetted like 50-100 .... anyways i have found a few saracen mads on ebay and thought they looked like a suitable frame, cant tell the geometry from the pictures, but £99 for brand new frame and forks looks reasonable enough to me, was wondering how the newer frames ride? i remember the old ones being abit... wank has anyone ridden the newer frames, are the chainstays shorter? will a 38mm rim fit? do they dent easy/crack/snap easy? do they still come with a sump guard? whats the difference between the red version and the silver one without stating the obvious (colour and brake mounts) ?... also will the change in frame start to limit my riding? i have all top bits ready to onto the frame, all are light and the stem is actually the original mad stem ... i know it would look pimped.. but the main think is how will it ride? let me know your thoughts... really need help on this one

i ridden one for a year until i died, (im 13 stone so alot of stress was put on the frame whilst i learned...) was a good ride for the first few months, but as i improved it started feeling too short and gave me back pains... probably because i had it in a stupid gear. when i got my new bike i felt the difference straight away, i could ride more freely, felt more flicky and less sluggish, but with a different bar and stem, different forks and a hs33 with good pads its a beast. and about the hub... i used the formula hub for a year without servicing it once... and it never skipped... and i did use some force over technique back when i had it

that sucks mate... how the f**k would they be able to break into a lock hard luck mate anyways, i would be in tears where do you stand with insurance? hope you get it back... il keep an eye out for you

-
now thats the exact bike that im looking at, but how do they compare to scooters on relaiblility etc?
-
you have done really well there matey, everything that your doing is absolutely spot on frame looks very pimped, as do all your parts... polished forks and that tensioner very nice indeed shame about all your parts not arriving... seems to have taken a while???? can't wait to see the finished pics cheers Jonny

i have also bin looking into buying a moped/bike... but i am looking for something different, i've bin looking perticularyly at the gilera gsm supermoto, but have not bought one as in all honesty, i know hardly anything about them, how do these bikes or similair compare to mopeds in handling, reliability, top speed and acceleration? edit: i know they are more than often more expensive than mopeds, but i am not buying brand new
-
you have done very very well with that will mate looks very nice indeed, hope it rides just as nice, next time i see you i want a go

advice from the man himself can't beat that... as neil said you really just have to be different, do things that nobody else does... new lines, big lines... ermmm yeah...

lads... i have sorted the b*****d... well kris did... i just watched and feared for my cranks... what he done: - grinded down a small part of the bb cup (making it thinner by about a mm) therefore giving more clearence but not taking too much away that thers not enough left for a bb tool to go into - grinded down the bashring to about half its thickness and removed the spacer that was there before, gained a couple of threads for space and gave about 4/5 mm more space... - problem... now its not the actual eno causing the problem... the eno couldnt move any further down meaning the echo bash was free to move and wobble and the eno would not tighten anymore because of how its built - solution... kris grinded down the cranks (the bit where the threads are) about 3mm down and then carefully filed/smoothed/fixed (i dunno what he did.... call it taken care of) the opening threads on the cranks.... hope you can understand what we have done and maybe its a reference for people stuck in the future.... or the topic can be closed as the problem has bin fixed

yeah its a taper bb ... i havent tried to put it on super tight though... cause i just knew it wouldnt fit... and then when i tried.... it didnt fit im gonna try and machine down the bash today and hopefully that will work... i'm hoping that by making the bash thinner i will create more space for the eno to fit onto... hard to explain but there is a theory behind it.... problem is i've got the feeling my cranks are also f**kered, like the slot for the bb to go through (im sorry i dont know the actual name for it) has widened... i think... i really cant afford new cranks and a new bb :| because looking on tartybikes... isis is expensive and there is no way im buying taper again because im too heavy for it
-
will try that now mate... it might not be an echo bash... im sure it is... its old ... was thinking of trying to do a straight swap with someone for a brand new tensile... smart move/ would someone do it????

hey people... i have recently bought an eno freewheel... in running it on echo 04 front freewheel cranks with an echo bashring... my bb is 127.5 in length... and the mofo is still rubbing its actually quite dissapointing really as i have just payed £40 for it :| so like... what should i do? how can i prevent or fix this? i am deffinately not grinding the tabs off... and i dont really have the money to get a new bb... and i dont think they make them any longer than 127.5 nothing seems like an obvious solution to me other than buying a different freewheel what can i do
-
looks quite cool there mate nice one nice starter bike
-
i will be there... with my new eno... brap brap ... anyone got any spare pads that i can borrow for the day or possibly buy for a small fee .... im serious i need pads
