Sounds good, how should I go about getting to West Derby from Maghull?
-
DrStix, I have already tried araldite Mark, it doesn't look impossible. However I feel that it would require a lathe or similar to get it bang on! The way I was thinking of doing it was to file down the bb shell. Additionally use some tubing with the same diameter of the inside of the bb shell which is cut down to the right width to act as bearing seats. This would also be glued into place.

Looks smart as, would love to build one of these up with 24" wheels brakeless. Seem to remember the chainstays being short enough! Where did you get the frame it looks immaculate

Having a nightmare with my frame, thought the threads would hold up but they haven't. I have already tried using glue/liquid metal but half way through the ride the bb worked its way loose again. Does anyone know where I can buy a threadless isis bb? Or something like this: Alternatively how difficult would it be to alter the bb to a spanish bb style with some modification as used in new echo frames?

I've never rode Kirby but theres plenty to ride in the town centre, Ormskirk and Southport are farely close aswell with some good riding spots. Whenever your about put up a ride in this section and I will more than likely attend!

Nice vid, really well filmed! May I ask what kind of camera you used?

I guess this is another argument all together, but I believe you're right. If I was at the top of the sport or if I was trying to build the lightest bike I would definitely consider my diet and training off the bike in as much if not more detail. Of course it would be easier to manouver yourself if you dropped a stone, and its much easier to lose a stone (6.35kg) in body fat than it is to lose that kind of weight from a bike. To gain the best possible advantage in the sport at a competitive level I believe there would be advantages to having a low % of body fat. But then again most comp riders that I have seen don't seem to carry much body fat as it is. But as I said this is really an argument for another day and another thread! I appreciate what you are trying to do with the frame, and look forward to seeing your progress and updates!

Is there anywhere that you can buy a hat helmet? Or are there any helmets that are low enough profile to fit under a flat peak or snapback hat? If not does anyone know how you would go about making such a helmet?

Riding was boss, not sure on the music though!

So I'm building up a 24" brakeless set up at the moment, the obvious choice for bars is the trialtech high rise or inspired bars. The question I would like to ask is, are there any other bars on the market that offer the same or more rise than the these bars? For example, how do bars such as the Octane One Chemical bar or the Atomlab Pimplite DJ bars shape up in comparison with the trialtech high rise?

Wow, my first post in almost 2 years! Good to see some familiar faces in here. Had a read of your topic and a few of the replies, seems like a few people have made some good suggestions. You have to ask yourself what your targets are before thinking about routines and diet. From what I can tell your trying to get into good general shape, maybe improve your strength for trials moves and cut some of the fat. You could look at some beginner routines on the internet, something like a 3/4 day split. However one routine I have used which would help you to acheive your goals is called German Volume Training. It's worth a look beleive me. As far as diet goes, it is very important! Even more so than what you do in the gym, do not beleive that eating less food will give you the results you desire! Instead aim to follow a diet that consists of high protein and low carbs, only eat your carbs at the start of the day and pre-workouts/riding. Protein is found in meats and will not only help to recover your muscles after riding/training but it will help to preserve muscle mass while you are cutting fat. As far as cardio is concerned, no one wants to sit on a rowing machine/bike/cross trainer for an hour at a time! Keep it fast and simple, try some HIIT cardio as this will be the fastest and most effective method of losing fat. Search google for each of the following German Volume Training, High Intensity Interval Training and also if you are interested in an extreme cutting diet try the Keto diet.

Old clips I would have never used anyway. The bike ridden is a old Monty frame, this was a temporary replacement for my zoo frame when it snapped!

Some footage that I got from when I rode Leeds. Riding is on a Zoo Pitbull 07 short. Editted by Mat Smith! Thanks to Alan for filming :) Aldo like to thank: www.necopads.co.uk www.trialfutur.net

This video was filmed in 10 minutes, before gym, with a digital camera, with my mate complaining he was bored and waving the camera around... so im happy with it considering that. Riding Zoo Pitbull 07 Short and Necopads front and rear. Thanks to www.trialfutur.net and www.necopads.co.uk for their support.
