  4. I run dual vee my set up is Front: Arms: Avid sd7 Lever: Because Pads: Rock pad blues Rear: Arms: Shimano acera Lever: Because Pads: TNN Kenny Belaey Adaptors: Home made Medium sharp grinds front and back, the front is really loud with great bite and hold and little modulation. The rear is quiet with less bite than a magura and good modulation when going forwards - additionally I am very confident with the hold of the back brake going backwards/on edges. I think both brakes have their advantages, I do prefer the bite and reassuring sound of a magura but the low maintenance and reliability of the vee brake is the reason behind choosing this set up. It would definitively would be cool to see a lightweight frame with vee brake mounts. However seeing as the vast majority of riders use magura brakes on the back I don't know how popular they would be. Depending on how you get on with rear vee a marino frame with vee mounts could be an option for you.
  5. I am also interested to see what cameras I could get for under £100. Plus points would be rechargeable battery, 1080p HD and the option of being able to use a wide angle lense.
  6. Don't know yet, trying to mix it up wanna see where everyone else is riding first

  13. Interesting bike set up good vid I enjoyed it
  14. Would be best to meet at Limestreet station about 11/12?
  15. All depends what kind of videos have influenced you to make the move to trials. I would actually recommend the Onza as it will be easier to learn the different techniques and back wheel control. Having said that it also depends on your age, weight and height in order to provide better advice as to whether you would be suited to a 20". Coming from a bmx background could be another reason for you to go for a 20" wheeled bike.
  16. Huge riding without a doubt! Although I have to say that the video could have possibly been editted differently to compliment the riding. Great video none the less
  17. Hopefully I can get my bike built in time, will try and get out for this ride with a couple of others.
  18. Gettin good now Matty, look like your goin much bigger!
  19. Showurcolours - I appreciate your input, it's great to hear an educated viewpoint. As a small 'update' to this topic. I currently weigh 15 stone 1 lb, I recently got back out on the bike and attended a local ride in Lancaster using my brakeless 24". During the ride I had a quick go on a friends 26" and was able to sidehop 50". Obviously after a break from riding my technique will not be the as good as it used to be, my previous best was 53" on a different bike of similar weight. The point I'm making is that perhaps the work I have put in the gym with strength and conditioning training and improved nutrition has contributed improving the power I am able to use on the bike. Maybe it is just the competitive side of me, but when I participate in any form of sport I aim to be the best I can possibly me and will use any tools I can to improve. I have a few ideas of exercises I plan to implement into my weight routine to see if I can improve the size of my moves. The supplements that I currently use while weight training with the aim of cutting fat whilst maintaining muscle are Gold Standard Whey protein, Animal Pak multi vits, BCAAs and CLAAs. I am also using Dave Palumbo's Keto diet. I will keep everyone updated!
  20. Smart that, I like the colour! Looks like an 04 to me though
  21. More people would go if you posted more than 24hours before the ride Next time, we'll have to arrange a ride a week in advance for a saturday or sunday
  22. Looks nice that laa, you just waiting on a back brake now? Matching brakes would really set it off!

    Hook Attempt

Yer for sure, its a nice wall to practice on! I know some people practice on pallets aswell by placing a pallet on an angle at the bottom of the hook so that could be an idea

    Hook Attempt

Looks about right, try and find a slightly higher wall if you can. You know you've nailed it when you can hook to back wheel without hitting your cranks.
