Alrite lads, to be honest they are just temporary replacments until I get some more material off Neco pads! They seem ok, worked nice yesterday when I got my bike back from tartybikes but when I went for a ride it started raining! After that they went poo Then I rode the tartybikes set up but they went wank again because of the dust and stuff and it was dead humid and sticky inside. I rode again on them today, gave the rim a good clean and stuff with water expecting them to work better but with no luck... Regardless of this I went out riding and hoped that they would work better after some more bedding in. The brake slipped on a small drop which ended up with me on my arse, and then slipped again on a tap and when I jumped back I landed awkwardly and rolled on my ankle I reckon I will ask Adam how he got the brake to work so good!

Yeah would be nice to see some vee frames from deng, would be nice if he made the vee adaptors too cos the heatsink ones are waaaay expensive! My front vee works really well, I wouldn't say it was particularly hard to set up and I wouldnt put my problems down to a narrow rim. Because I cant put anymore spacers infront of the pads (shit backings) the arms have to be set so they are pulled close together (if that makes any sense). The main problems with my brake are lack of adjustability and fork flex, if I had something like avid sd7 arms with heatsink backings on the front I think this would solve my problems.

Nike SB for both Edit: although I don't know what they are like for riding in, but everyone seems to like skating in them!

I have a gold one, I reckon it looks smart as f**k and you don't really see many about! You could also strip the paint and polish it up to chrome finish or spray it white, you don't see many pro 2 hubs like this

I really am glad you shared this video mate, I think I speak for everyone here, making this video was a really nice and considerate thing for you to have done and I know I really appreciate it as it shows exactly what Beau was about. I don't think the video itself is upsetting, just the fact that Beau is such a loss to the trials community and he will be dearly missed, and this video really does show what a loss he is. Once again thanks for making it, I was considering doing something similar but couldn't find the right words or footage, I think what you've done there is spot on and everyone who knows Beau or knows of Beau will appreciate it alot.

Ben mate that video was awesome, was abit of a tear jerker but made me smile, thats exactly how Beau was and how I will remember him Thanks so much for making that, I know that he would have loved that too! I really wish he read this because you know what, I never told him how good he was, I never told him that I looked up to him as a rider and person I always tried to push his riding by telling him that he was crap and stuff (I'm sure he took it as a joke) but I wish he could just read this now... Beau you were an amazing rider, I looked upto you alot and I have always wished that I had the same riding style and no fear attitude towards riding as you do. I will never forget you mate and I mean it, f**king wish this didn't happen Ride in peace mate.

Absolutely devostated, i'm gutted that I will never get to see the end of that video. f**king gutted

Does he still ride? I know the original post is asking who the oldest forum user is, but I wonder who the oldest rider is! -
I know its abit of a ball ache, but what you could do is type your post up using Microsoft Word first. That way you can check your spelling But i'm sure someone else will be able to help you. No worries mate, I can see where your coming from!

Monkeymoped on here is 33 I think. I say fair play to him, alot of the time he has more will to ride than I do! I was talking to a bloke the other day in Liverpool city centre, he must have bin in his 40s, and he was telling me how he had been watching Neil Tunnicliffe videos on the internet and wanted to have a go! I hope I am well abled and fit when I am in my 30s and 40s! -
It's a good point your making, theres not much need for forum members to use the new members chat unless they genuinely want to give helpful advice or contribute to the topic. There are 10 other sub forums which are full of topics that are slightly more interesting, I guess some people just like to make themselves feel clever or cool. Having said that, some people are just asking for it, but that still doesn't mean that everyone has to have a go. The guidelines are there for people to read, its upto them as to whether or not they wish to read them.

Good vid and riding lads

I won't be out for a couple of weeks, need to sort out my bike at the minute!
-
Looks nice, any chance of a full spec to tell us how you got it to that weight?
-
Nice one mate, really like your smooth laid back riding style! There was a good variety of moves too Keep it up pal
-
LOL Who the f**k actually says that word other than yanks, cringe.

Maybe look at buying a stiffer cable? Something like an Odyssey Linear Slic cable for the front and back will do the job perfect and will feel nicer/lighter at the lever. Also what levers are you using? I quite liked my XTR lever when I ran my bb7 but I reckon an avid sd7 would feel equally as nice. I might have completelt missed the point, could also try to get both pads so they hit at the same time

Firstly, I don't really like the attitude you have in your first post . Has the person who told you the silver 06 version of the frames is weak actually snapped one, why don't you ask him before you come on here ranting and calling our mates douche bags (wtf does that mean?) and telling us that we never leave our bedrooms?? To answer your question, I haven't seen or heard of any of the stock frames that have snapped. You've answerred your own question in your first post, if you have ridden a frame for 2 years, and rode it as hard as your making out and its still in one peice then I think you've done well! a frame usually lasts me about 6 months. I'm sure if you where to do abit of a search you would find the answer your looking for, a post like that doesn't really get you anywhere.
