I'm still working for BT, 7 years in now. Changed things quite a bit really. I now sit on my arse in my office and play on computers all day. I work on a LLU team, which is a team that controls the Broadband side of BT, and also every other Broadband provider, like Carphone warehouse, Orange, Tiscali, Pipex, bulldog etc etc. The majority of people who apply for Broadband in the UK, regardless of who it's with, have the job's that need to be done to get them online, completed by Contractors for BT. I decide which jobs are done when, and by who, then i issure the work out to the Contract managers who deploy their engineers. I also carry out Quality checks on the engineers, on their working practices and work quality. I (not JUST me, but I as in, the team i work on) deal with faults that come in from the previous night's work, on a conference call i have each morning. It pays the wages, plus i enjoy it, which is a bonus. Nobody wants to go to work dreading the day. I've done jobs like that and it's no good. Bogno
