  1. Ok then Dont slam it all the way, lower until it is a sensible distance from the tyre! jeez lol you get the idea its in the way. Derf will tell you! haha as this bike seems to be a carbon copy.
  2. lovely! 1 minor thing i dont like is, get an inline seatpost and slam the saddle to the max. Nice bike I also need a half link chain in order to "up tension".
  3. I have had the exact same thing happen to me! I run my rear rim without a grind. There are two ways ive found that get them working 100 percent again. 1 Drag the brake down a very steep hill and as they heat up it seems to clean the crap of the surface of the rim/pad. 2 I washed my bike the other day with Muc off dgreaser and this had the same effect. I didnt clean the pads, just the entire rim. I dont grind and havent found them to wear fast at all. They have everthing inbetween light touch feathering for manuals and solid lock with a nice high pitched sqeek when they bite. Unless u ride in the rain ( wich i dont) try them with a smooth rim. in my opinion you dont need to grind with snowies. Chris
  4. Sorry , was thinking in the case of nick dale. Two loaves a week filled with cheese and mayo( and other things) isnt the best, although yer they aint "Bad" moderation is the word.
  5. Haaahahah i did laugh Are you trying to split the whole of the uk trials comuinity in the process of building your bike? lol
  6. I can see where you are coming from there Kris, about the radio signals. Its obvious to me this whole idea could be fairly practical just aslong as the signal could be kept specific to each bike! Thats where Digi TV technology could help. How about sending a digital signal from the brake lever using UHF 480-850mhz to the caliper/ large heavy lead acid battery pack? Yes i know the signal would have to be de-multiplexed at the caliper before anyone says. There are endless specifical 1's and zeros for all the trials riders in the world. And I agree, stop taking the piss out of HarmerTrials. Very interesting project
  7. Its people like the above that stop technological progression.
  8. Mayo = bad cheese = bad Chicken ham beetroot cucumber = good
  9. Just have different crystals for different freqeucies , like on RC cars. Obviously we would have to devise a system for displaying our own "band" crystal. Maybe a flag?
  10. I think all you guys have missed the point! Instead of using blu-tooth or infrared just use radio signals to make the piston slide in and out.( its goes in all directions) Problem solved There are some real idiots on this forum jeez.
  11. Wouldnt be so bad if it was brown bread? White bread isnt good. And depends on how much fat you are spreading on the bread!
  12. Yes! Freds hub skips all the time! Somehow it hasnt skipped whilst doing something dodgy luuuuucky! Mike crowthers (salis rider) skips all the time and hasnt ever worked out of the box.(and put him in hospital last year) Im a very nervous rider due to knee injury and i trust my King 100 percent . Maybe a king isnt the best hub for bike mashers and spaz hands with hammers? I dont know I dont remember profiles getting slated as much as pro2's? It has to be said Hope haven't got it 100 percent right on the pr02.
  13. Then there are others that wouldnt trust a pro2 with thier granny. Too many problems with skipping. King *** Just my experience of them.
  14. Agreed If you land on that , its going to go through you like a cookie cutter! Makes me shiver! http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=147 Or if cash is tight , local bike shop will give you some placcy ones.
  15. Sensible , logical comment there!
  16. I ride Xc ,,,yep , Taught Ticcy everything he knows Jokin Tic! Im amazed that no-one has said, This is trials forum go post on singletrack , to be honest.
  17. I agree Adam! and the term " if u want a good job doing , do it yourself " springs to mind. I always find it anoying that some things cant be passed on correctly. ho hum
  18. Erm? id never rely on tooling when buliding a wheel! ( but maybe u are building more often than me,,well certainly you are!) As a perfectionist rather than a dealer , I always work it it out the long way! it saves a lot of pain in the long run. Wich makes makes me wonder how the people that post on tf about spoke sizes etc imagine they are going to make a good wheel? read this! http://www.amazon.com/Art-Wheelbuilding-Re...s/dp/0964983532 NB i know you know what u are doing adam! Chris Its not a pain in the arse! its a learning process! buy your hub get its measurements measure your rim etc etc your on the right track! hope your interested , rather than the other loosers on this forum!
  19. Err :$ guys As i said it realy neads to be measured on the actual rim you are building on.
  20. Yep sorry , have to add heat, id so much want a 24uk heatsink frame than that rubbish The whole idea of a 24 is , its sposed to be streety/bmxy and trials in one! That lump looks like a lame uci copy with 24 wheels.

Haha! Glad its ok! Its gone "donk" and dented cause you give it grief! lol but as a wheel builder , i cant do anyything about that. Mine go out occasionaly(0nce in the last year),,,,when ive realy fooked them up against a square edge. Everything has its limits.

Im on your side! If it was built by a "robot" just deal with its "shitness" or get it re-built correctly. so what if it makes a noise? Does it go crisp shaped?

Ash as much as you amuse me and i actualy like you for some reason? A decent rim and decent spokes and decent hub + decent build doesnt make any sounds or go out of true! FACT.
  24. hey dude! I built derfs wheel,,glad to say its still true. I believe 493 is correct but ive lost my spokecalc data so cant be sure. As for spokes, dt swiss are a benchmark. Get them through your local bike shop whatever. But Ive found Sapim up the bar a bit in building terms. The best thing to do is measure your rim using some cut down spokes , then get the hub dimensions off the hope website then download damon richards spocalc from the web = happy chappy let me know if u need anymore help. chris
