Ok dont laugh if im way way wrong!!! but outta curiousity... is there any problems with letting air out of the tire... as all the air..goes into the tire itself.. and thats where the liquid latex is etc.. and supposedly the rushin out of air causes the liquid latex to seal the hole.. ..so if you a rider who like to play about with you tire pressure alot...will it try and seal your valve... because i was thinking ... dont be silly the valve isnt near the tire really..whats it gonna do ...fire the latex up into the valve.. lol but then i was thinking if you got a lil latex in bottom of tire...and you hole is quite a way up in your side wall..then it must get rushed up by the air. hmmmmmm... hope that makes sense.. could some1 like fat mike or ali c...who know what they talking about enlighten me. because i really wanna convert to tubless..but i gotta get some knew rims 1st and koxxs dont work apparently. thanks. self confidence is sooo true!! many of the great trials riders have a different way of thinking to you average rider. i find ... my riding is held back by the fear factor.. the.. "im gonna do this wrong and seriously hurt myself!" i blame it on once being put into hospital after a head injury in trials. but day by day im working on getting better? maybe i'll try working on my confidence etc. i find alot of good riders..dont have a fear factor... or very little of it. Example james porter!! lol lil ginger 15-16 yr old nutcase... does things i think...f*ck that.. u'll kill yaself!! the kids a legend! (Y) Tom.

Dont know if this helps anyone..but im picking my new chain up today from a local bike shop.. as i snapped a kmc chain a few days ago... i was gonna get a kmc kool... but then he showered me these new chains they have ordered in... its got flat links...so looks quite trick and also..because its styled for street riding..it can take grinds for bmxers...and bashes of walls and stuff.. you can get them in colours... like silver, red, blue etc. and they have a stronger breaking load then the kool and any other chain i seen. breaking load on a kool is something like 13 tonnes i think..where as the breaking load on this chain is 15 tonnes. thats quite abit more.. bad point the chain does cost 20 quid.. but meh!! if it works and gives u the confidence it wont snap..whats a tenner!! i dont know the chains name..but will post it up later today or something..once i have fitted it. hmmmm.. i though somewhere on the post it said there was something i had to measure or something. thats the quote above if its worked correctly. unless i miss read it...and it was talking about the spacer thingy for the hub/cassette.. ooh i dont know.. i just fancy them magura covers!! I quite fancy a set of those carbon covers for my magura's. i didnt get the whole post about what the cost was and spacers and what i had to measure etc etc... i aint no good at currancy coversion... and i aint tech enough with bikes to understand what to measure... sumone fancy helping me out. if not i'll just leave them..but i think they wud look really at home and tarty on my bike. cheers Tom. :lol:

I'll take you out for a spin sometime corish. its still at home down south with my parents at the moment as i dont have a garage at my flat up here. .. but as soon as i locate somewhere descent to keep it...i'll bring it up. i'll prob have it up around summer to compete in advents like... santa pod. the run what you brung ..drag strip!! its only 300bhp but shud set a pretty good 1/4 mile time. i been building it for the past 2 years....has taken alot of money, blood, sweat and tears. For time being im gonna concentrate on my riding and bike... i need to get good by summer!! mission impossible!! :(

sorry xdream.... you wrong buddy.. use to work in george whites motorcycle shop... was a specialist in carbon fibre. i also have a rally car..ask any of the swindon riders etc. your rite...carbon fibre loses heat very very quickly. and yes there are many many types of carbon..because u can weeve it with alot of different materials etc.. but carbon's also very brittle... depending obviously on what its weeved with...u can often crack it easily etc... hence why theat bikes disc wud be crap! i been to alot of F1 advents... i use to live rite near silverstone. but hey maybe im wrong...if you know alot about f1 you wud know that a carbon disc wud work better the hotter it got.... so it losing heat quickly wud be a negative point.. how many times u seen a fast cars disc glowing after heavy use...exactly carbon dosnt glow like that.. f1 brakes...work under temperatures of like a 1000 degree or something ridiculaous!! hence why caramic is used... just like cermaic is used for pottery!! lmao!! its almost why turbo chargers like in my escort cossie... use proper racing turbos rebuilt with cermaci ball bearings!! there alot of fake carbon floating about..u need to look carefully at the weeve but general it can be formed in2 most things..like my carbon fibre bucket seats in my car... ohh and think i was rite....carbon is used as slang for carbon fibre... as the word carbon refers to one element. the fibre part of the word refers to the fact carbon fibre is actually a material forum by a weeve with another material element. sorry... fire out..!! :blink: feel free to correct me.. i dont mind being shown up or proved wrong. will even eat humble pie. Sorry if sumones already said this..i cudnt be asked to read the whole post!!! i dont know of any cars that use carbon discs!!! i think u'll find that is a comment that has been made by a misunderstanding.. carbon disc (rotors) not as far as i know... carbon pads yes!! WRC, F1, racing ferrari's and porsches etc.. all use ceramic discs... and yes when u give it sum they glow like molten lava!! cool!!! corish...u were rite carbon and carbon fibre arnt the same thing at all!!! carbon gets used as slang for cabon fibre... carbon is just an element found in coal and carbon dioxide etc etc.. carbon fibre is a material manufacture using a weeve of the processed carbon element and another material.... mainly a material know as kevalar.... carbon kevalar is often used on bikes and cars...] eg.. race bike like carl fogarty's WRC cars (especially there interiors) and many other places. in theory a brakes is as good as the friction genearted by to materials etc and the running temperatures.. carbon takes alot to heat up..hence why motorcycle leathers often have carbon inserts etc.... but as far as friction for brakes.... i was led to believe it was wank... hence why racing teams use ceramic!! there you go... todays lesson for corish and the likes!! (so its the shiny black not the matt black!) its a medium if that makes any difference..and i want a new visor for it. helmets in good condition but im a perfectionist and want a brand new visor to restore it back to its former glory! so.... i need a medium sized..shiny black, brand new condition.. giro semi mx visor off an 04 helmet! must be the original spec visor.. a next best thing! if you cud post with details..websites...bikeshop numbers..anything. I'd gladly buy second hand from a trusted buyer..if the visor immaculate and of reasonable price. thanks guys. :ermm: Tom.

I got an 221 ti monty 04... its andy amos's old bike if anyones familiar with the bike itself! i changed the freewheel to an acs claws..until i have the money in a couple of months for the profile bits... will a KMC Kool chain go on ok?.... im a lil worried about clearance's etc.. like it catchin front bashguard..or off anything else like raer chainstays etc. someone let me know please!!! cheers. cheers guys...them giro havocs..look alrite..what they priced at? i quite like that red and white one especially!! waynio..tell me abit more about what you thought of the xen... because my bike shop just told me it was a cross between a semi mx and a e2!! im really hunting around for prices...because i almost paid 100 quid ish for magura hosing...without the crossovers...becasue that what i got told through a magura dealer..and the cross over pipes wernt available etc... then a close mate showed me them on sale at a well know bike shop..for 35 quid..for both front and back..including crossover pipes etc!! so...i got a black and red theme going on..what helmet wud suit colour scheme and what is the sexiest looking helmet...dont wanna give pikey's another thing to mouth off about afetr the spotted my ti monty dosnt have a bloody seat!!! idiots!!!!
