  1. true blue, i can't see there being a major difference; but why are the try-all ones £9 more? I thought the teeth might be more effective on some models than others..
  2. cheers dude, think the red might clash with my colour scheme but very tempted by the Monty's in black They're dirt cheap too so can't go wrong i suppose.. The thread is still young though, I still welcome more reviews!
  3. Impressive, good luck with Leadville #3! I've recently started riding again (along with 4 of my friends) and don't know why i ever stopped. Really getting into it again now and improved so much over the past month.
  4. Yeah, the smoothness allows for finer adjustment but i think the notched ones will provide adequate adjustment without any slip. A friend of mine recommended ZHI's.. So which are best?
  5. Hi, just wondered what everyone's new years resolution is for 2010? I'll start.. I have two, definitely to ride more (especially this summer) and secondly, eat healthier/start gym Your turn!
  6. Your better off reading the newbie question threads on here
  7. Hi all, Currently rocking a pair of echo smooth cams which came with my echo 7075 screw on hub but experiencing some major slippage. Which cams would you recommend to keep your wheel in position for more than 5 minutes?! Cheers. Rhys p.s been a member since 2005 and still not validated! +1 me peeps!
  8. I would go for echo rear brake with plazmatic, koxx browns or heatsink pads and a grind. Win, win, win. Please vote for me to become full member, thanks!
  9. Here's a pic of me riding cardiff bay on my mod.. Please vote for me so i can become a full member! Thanks!!!!!
  10. Personally i'd invest in a set of disk forks and an Avid BB7 off chain reaction cycles. For the time being though, use tar if you're only riding in dry weather. I rode using tar on my back brake and it was quite damp and cold and worked fine if i kept re applying it every now and again. Hope that helps.. Please vote for me so i can become a full member! Thanks!!!!!
  11. Hi there I'm Rhys, 21yrs from Cardiff. I've recently started riding again after taking a 2 year break. I honestly don't know why my friends and I stopped and now we're riding again it's even harder to think why. I've been to the 'west wales bike trials' barn in Carmarthen twice now and have seen a huge improvement in my riding. I live in Barry, so it's a long drive but well worth it, especially if u ride all day. Google it if you fancy going.. Anyway, that's me. Could someone please vote me so i can become a full member, only need 5 validation votes!! Many thanks.

  13. got same problem, i have smooth echo snail cams at the moment, which are rubbish!! They slip so easily and i keep having to re-adjust my wheel.. currently looking at monty toothed snail cams, anyone ever used these and are they any good? listed on tarty bikes just shy of 6 quid, sounds like a bargain to me.. reply or pm Rhys x
